Still baffled about this new dive trail system

As you guys know as of season 17 and earlier the drive trail was a thing. If you were diamond, you got a blue dive trail for the longevity of the following season. Masters you got purple, pred you got red. But what I don’t understand about the “logic” of EA and all of its “wisdom”, is they took out those hard earned well rewardedtrails because people were getting “followed”. When in all reality anybody who would see those dive trails would hard steer clear AWAY from them. But now EA has brought back trails in this new ranked ladder BS That only last A split… and not to mention it literally defeats the whole purpose of them, taking away the dive trail and the first place. It’s just really astonishing on the fact that EA knows they messed up with taking the trails away from us and then tries to apologize to us by bringing it back and giving us these BS rewards and an unbelievable grind (diamond+) to the top of the leaderboard to only get a trail that lasts a split. Pathetic move EA GIVE US OUR SEASON LONG DIAMOND/MASTERS/PRED TRAIL BACK!
