@Balladalidilahaven't done it yet, but it will be great, I can feel it.
On the other hand people could pull a similar trick with Wraith before and teleport the whole team as well, it would be harder, slower but still doable.
Annoying = yes, OP - not 100% sure. Given we survived Octain+Rev combo and people actually stopped playing it, I am sure we will survive this one as well and Valk, Gibby, Caustic will remain top combo :D@BalladalidilaGotta try this out! But isn't there a range limit for rev ult?

I guess I never thought that Oct + Rev was super "OP" per se. I mean, the rev shadows still had to kill you with only 100 hp each so usually, you had quite the upper hand in that fight, and during the time they transported back to the totem and had to return to the fight, you could easily pop a battery. It was just annoying that every noob squad who saw some high skilled 3-man premade streamers do this just had to rush this strategy in every situation they could find, like a one trick strategy, even if they failed miserably.
But the difference between doing it with Octane or Wraith is that in both cases, you still had a pretty good chance of hearing them coming and even kill them on their way in. But with Ashs Ult, I think its super hard to 1) even hear them appearing since the portal appears instantly, and 2) after you kill the shadows; determine from where they came, i.e where the totem are and where they preassembly are healing up.
Its gonna be interesting to see how the team comps are gonna be in ALGS, I do think they will pick Ash instead of Octane, not to do crazy pushes with her ULT, but because her ULT basically is a better Octane jump pad and more importantly that her passive can be invaluable in ALGS style of play.
Nah no range, just time limit I think.
@BalladalidilaI'm quite sure there have been a range limit for the rev ult, but maybe this has changed recently?
- @Godisbullen it is time based and they nerfed time so that if you run without jumpad or portal you can go ~150 meters with it if not mistaken, in other words you need to think where to put it and how to push team fast.
@Balladalidila Rev ult makes now this quite big red smoke ring when put down, if you are aware of the enemy position I think you should be able to react to it.
In comparison you can say that team that were not able to react / hit people taking jumpad or portal will also fail with Ash portal (maybe even more often than before), but the ones that have a better game sense should be just fine.
Also a pro towards jumpad - it remains in place, portal expires = if the fight with shadows takes a moment or Rev ulting team f up a bit, they have limited options to get back or even could turn that fight into 1 vs multiple in favor of the team actually being pushed meaning 1 or 2 people take the portal for the second time and run into 3 half healed but 3 enemies.
