Apex Cross-Progression

Hello my fellow legends! 

If you are like myself who has spent hours and hours on Apex, leveling up, collecting skins, completing battle pass, getting badges and kills. You might not want to change platforms and therefore we need cross-progression. 

I heard in a statement by the devs that cross-progression for Apex is very hard because of the way it is setup. I find this strange as pretty much all games have this feature even games as big as warzone! I currently play Apex on my PS4, which is fine but I also have a very high end gaming PC and want to move to playing Apex on my PC (Better expereince, more frames, smooth expereince and better graphics to make the gaming expereince more fun), which is what I have done with Warzone and was a good expereince and very easy to move, the fast load times and smoothness helps a lot! 

I heard from content cereators and statements that Apex is still a VERY far way away from doing this? 

I was wondering if any of you or the devs etc. on here have any other information about it? A realisitc timeframe and some future things to look forward to?
