Apex Feedback - Some Hard To Talk About Topics

I would love a feedback on more hard to talk about topics, like

Cheating - It has to be the number 1 issue with me on Apex PC. You get in game and you get your kills and bam. Aim locked cheater with ESP. It feels really bad to get cheated. I also watch cheaters myself and record the gameplay. Why, i want the person to be banned. Will it happen,ya, in about 2 weeks. EAC i guess likes to take their time. I might still have the game recorded of me getting killed by a team of cheaters, to leave and start the next game, just to land with the same cheaters. Talk about a bad 2 games.

Also i would like to bring up topics with some controller issues. One, some are using Xaim Apex's. If you're unaware, it's a device to use a mouse and keyboard on console for titles that don't support it, it also works on PC. The issue with this is they get to use a mouse with aim assist because the game thinks it's a controller. Theres also scripts for these devices that counter the recoil. So it just means you might find people with a slow moving mouse that is spoofed into acting like a controllers analog stick that has aim assist and scripts to reduce or disable recoil. Wow that's a long one.

"Aim Assist" and should it be allowed while playing vs mouse while on PC. Controller users (mostly) say "It's not a big deal". Mouse users say "It's a big deal". With an ujbiased opinion because i use both, i think it's both a bid deal and not. In the right hands aim assist cankill mostly anyone on mouse. The tracking it provides in tight corners is unreal. In the casual hands, it might help them, but they don't think it's a bid deal, because they have no clue in the first place what to look for.

I also want to point out that if it's not a big deal, Than why not disable it? I would like someone from the stand point of a dev to follow in on this subject, because i bet they hear it alot. I understand some people play with people who use it and if they can't they wouldn't do good ingame. While that might be true, If that's the case the same assist is also at the same time making people not have a good game, what side do you pick?

An easy fix in my eyes would be to have a feature to split players who use aim assist into their own servers. Like it could be something like, If you have aim assist enabled, you play those same players. If you turn it off, you play with mouse players again.

I understand that it seems like everyone vs controllers, but i am a controller user sometimes and i'm saying "there is an issue".

Please try not to be biased in the comments. If you haven't ever used a mouse for gaming and used it alot, and start talking about aim assist is not a big deal, you might be biased and not know it.

Also, aim assist is a subject comparing analog stick to a mouse nothing else, not a keyboard, not a piano and not a ufo. So please don't come back and say, "controllers should have aim assist because keyboards they have more keys. Just no, please stop (i already had a message like this in the last 24 hours) and the person didn't like my reply, so they reported it as abuse. o.0

If a dev could read this, or it could get to one. I would really like to hear from them what they think.

  • @Popa2caps just as xim gives people a advantage on console, controller seems to do the same on PC, so it's only fair that both are banned for the sake of fairness, or let controller work on PC but disable aim assist, but XIM and any similar garbage needs to be dealt with along with the scum (almost guaranteed to be in predator) who use it
  • @Popa2caps I've also recorded a few cheaters, and even got a confession from one of the cheaters on the origin chat. Do you think EA did anything about it? Ofc not! They even gave me a warning for posting the proof on the forum.
They cared more about the integrity of the cheater than the real issue at hand.
Their Anti-cheat is a joke and their efforts in doing anything about it is even worse!

Why it's true the high ups in EA don't care about cheaters as their not gamers at all, I'm sure Respawn cares alot for apex. Also at the same time it would be hard for Respawn to have the knowledge of dealing with cheaters in the first place.

I'm sure who every used EAC for their anti cheat was only thinking the best. EAC might be lazy and very poor with dealing with cheaters, but i'm glad Respawn picked that over nothing. Apex could be like what cheaters did to Battlefield, it's a nightmare, like no joke. EA just doesn't have anything in place to deal with cheaters them self, so i wish they would just create their own cheater company for their titles and not use EPIC's owned EAC.

  • @Popa2capsYou're absolutely right. EAC is nowadays own by Epic Games, EAs competitor and creator of another Battle Royal game (Fortnite). That does not give Epic Games much incentive to better the anti-cheat for Apex.

I've been playing Counter-Strike for a long time before moving to Apex, and I've been hosting community servers, modded with my own plugins and anti-cheat features. If I can manage, with very little experience, to develop a reasonable anti-cheat, then EA should be more than capable of doing so.

They just have to be willing to allocate some resources to an anti-cheat project.
This is a matter of money, nothing more. As it always is with EA.

Yah i played on consoles vs someone who was using a Xaim kind of device. I heard of them and than got to see it first hand. The person had like 40k kills and was just sitting on top of a building with pathfinder. Just using the wingman just locking onto people. Now the movement wasn't even close to a mouse, but i'm sure it helps being able to move a simi fake mouse with aim assist. The extra issue with people using this is the no recoil scripts.

For example, i found that Aim Apex device on their main YouTube page is posting scripts for no recoil in COD Warzone with a set weapon. COD has direct support for mouse and keyboard on consoles, yet people are still use the fake software, so they can be able to have no recoil. It's directly cheating if you think about it.

Also those devices for Xaim input whatever are being used on PC, Let that sink in. People are using a controller linked to that device so they can use their mouse while getting aim assist with no recoil scripts. Talk about a nightmare. There is also a small YouTube channel that designed  software so you can make your mouse act like a controller directly, but with the added bonus of aim assist.

but no, i keep getting the run around with, Aim assist is not a bid deal. Yet the people who are saying that are mostly controller users. I don't think they know what biased is at this point. Apex on Twitch seems to also have a huge controller base on PC. So that could very well be where all this "it's not a big deal" is coming from. What i mean is, one streamer with 1k viewers could be telling everyone watching that it's not a big deal, and than they repeat it and so on.

So it could be that streamers are worried that if it gets removed, they would make less on their channels

  • @Popa2caps Dude, Aim Assist doesn't even help me. In Fortnite, having the gun lock on and follow a target to help me shoot them annoyed me. Then again, I was on a switch and had motion controlled aim.
