Apex is garbage
Utterly pointless, useless game. Run around shoot each other. Guys quitting, cursing you out. Games are supposed to be fun. Remember? I get on this piece of crap and get cursed out by little kiddies....
@LuckyCanuckLuke wrote:I mean if believing I am lying about my experiences makes you feel better about yours then ok.
But you seem to have a disdain for anyone younger then you, or anyone you perceive as less experienced or skilled than you. This is made clear by your many comments to the like.
You say you have lots of bad games with lots of leavers and toxic people. The only common denominator in all of those games is you.
Well you want to believe that I am projecting and that I am the toxic one. Ignoring the numerous other posts on the subject, by other users. I find that suspicious. Is that so you can feel better about yourself?
And If you want to believe that I disdain younger people to feel better about yourself. then go ahead. Although it sounds crazy... Especially when there is people of all ages playing this game. The common denominator they have is that they are not avid pc gamers. They are all noobs and toxic team players.
Do I sound superior wanting to play with people my own level? No, that is the normal definition of competitive. Pwning noobs is also not competitive, that is the online nerd definition. My definition of competitive is the same as RIOTS in LoL. Those who want COMPETITIVE matches. period. Professional sports have league levels for a reason.
So not only are you lying about your experiences playing solo in this game. You also must not respect video games as a valid sport, because you don't think apex should be treated as such.
ok buddy
Thanks for reiterating all of my points about with a single response

if you say so... since you have no retort I'll reiterate one more thing again. this is a sport and should be treated as such. Not just by the players, but by the DEVELOPERS themselves.
Its their job in 2019 to regulate fair play. Not the community's.
Apex has no completive mode, so in its current state no it is not.
@LuckyCanuckLuke wrote:Apex has no completive mode, so in its current state no it is not.
Now you confirmed my point.
You don't respect this game like a sport. Which is why you are not concerned about unfair play from or with unskilled players and trolls. You accept it as part of the game, since you don't have enough respect for the game to discourage such things.
Which is why noone should take your word on such players not existing.
Kids in the school yard playing handball don't have "competitive mode' They still respect the game as a sport and matchup accordingly by skill level for "competitive" matches. Your definition of what competitive is, is wrong.
If I didn't believe you actually believe the things you say I'd swear you were a troll
@LuckyCanuckLuke wrote:If I didn't believe you actually believe the things you say I'd swear you were a troll
Thanks for finally agreeing I'm right. And yes I'm very sincere and passionate about e-sports in general.
And the disrespect for the games and other players we are referencing. Is the main reason its not a billion dollar industry like athletic sports. And the main reason for many of the numerous types of complaint threads in this forum.
And I'll say one more thing. Any developer, anybody working on this game, who doesn't respect the game as a sport. Should be fired immediately.
lets back it up a bit here.
I never agreed you were right, nothing even close. I know you are desperate for validation but lets not invent things that never happened.
I said that I think you actually believe the things you are saying. You can believe in something that isn't true. people do it all the time.

All my points are valid if you don't even have a retort to them. Such posts as this give them validation and you don't even realize it.
Again. This is a sport. If you don't respect as such, you have no credibility with me or any gamers that do.
And any game developer who doesn't respect their game as a sport. Should be fired.
I don’t ever experience toxic players. It’s real simple... I create a party of one. No muting necessary. This game’s ping system is an unprecedented success and will be the fundamental standard for like games going forward. Fortnite development agrees. The ping system is a vastly superior communication system than voice with strangers will ever be. Without verbal slights, you are judged on your ingame behavior alone. I suggest you all try it.
If you’re looking to be play with equally skilled or like minded players, seek out those players in groups outside of the game first. Then you’ll be guaranteed a certain level of gaming experience. Having expectations of random players is folly, and foolish.

That is a good suggestion to avoid the toxicity. But won't win as many games that way. yes the ping system is great. But alot of players refuse to play with people not on mics. First thing they ask is "got a mic" if noone answers they immediately quit. Or the two on mic will the leave the guy not on mic dead on the floor and won't respawn him. and lets face it, no team coordination would be better then without a mic.
But definitely a good way to avoid the toxic behavior.
And as I said most of he community so noob they can't fully utilize the ping system. They can only do basic commands. I don't think respawn fully realizes how dumb people actually are lmao. The ping system is really derivative of battlefields system. And battlefield has dumb'd down their system so much from what it was in the past for these reasons. Which is to my dismay, because I wanted more commands available then we got in bfv.
As far as playing with equally skilled or like minded players. Its not just about playing with them, for the competitive players its also about playing against them. Although, a skill ranked match making system would help in both regards. And this is not an unreasonable expectation given the amount of people playing this game, with League of Legends as a prime example.
Actually playing with higher ranked players would probably mean they utilize the ping system better too lol.

There’s no denying that a quality and successful matchmaking system would be welcomed. I don’t know the direction they have in mind but if the initial success(player base) maintains, there’s no reason to doubt that this game could grow in its depth. In game access to friend invites is something I suspect will come eventually. It’s only a month old and all their efforts are involved with the season one/battle pass right now. I don’t think this game is going anywhere. It’ll be interesting to see what it looks like six months from now. It is a free download after all. My only fear is... EA.
oh man I liked your post till you flamed ea. care to explain? Don't let the russian troll farms brainwash you man. resist! lol
I mean at least EA is still making pc games. I can name alot of companies who have abandoned the pc and became console only and never looked back. Even ones that started on pc and forgot where they came from. EA is also big budget enough to push innovative game engines and leading edge graphics.
Buddy, you need to take a chill pill and get of that high horse. You are talking about games here, games should be able to be played however they want, casual or competitively. You are taking stuff way to seriously, get outside more often you [Comment Removed - Admin.] XD. @RichAC

If you read some of my posts. You will see that outside in the real word. At your local park. Even children can match up by skill level and have competitive games. Its only online nerds who think otherwise. Most likely cause they are anonymous trolls who don't respect video games in the same way or have never played sports in the park.
My definition of what is competitive and what is a sport is different then yours I guess.. You can be casual at the same time, which people in your local park playing athletic sports are.
But at the same time its human nature to want a competitive match no matter how casual the player. Being against that is highly suspicious.
I'm not trying out for a tournament league, or competing for money. But why deny those like me the chance for a friendly competitive match at my level.

Then let me explain...
For just over a year now I’ve been virtually exclusively playing... Wait for it... Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Without getting into detail here, let me just say that EA has ruined a Triple A game. A Star Wars IP no less.

ok now I understand, no need for detail. lol. I feel your pain.
"And I'll say one more thing. Any developer, anybody working on this game, who doesn't respect the game as a sport. Should be fired immediately."
In case of a pvp multiplayer game, that is correct. That's why I like Apex Legends. They successfully avoided the "game for everyone" fiasco Overwatch did, where you can do whatever you want, nothing warrants a report and everyone has their own 'vision and approach to the game'.
Here, developers have actually invested effort in developing mechanisms that aren't contradictory to themselves, excellent ping system, above average gunplay and even the ability to "carry", which was sorely lacking from modern multiplayer titles.
Being a semi pro quake 3 competitor, I was left to dry for a decade or so, then I tried Overwatch, it turned out to be a blunder with absolute anarchy and lack of competitive elements. Apex, despite being a BR game, actually delivers as a functioning FPS, even in solo queue. This game might actually revitalize the genre, if they add structure to it.
Oh, and I see you are full of assumptions. Well, just for the record, I was also a street basketball player, not a great one, but a decent one, I'd say I was in plus financially after I stopped playing. I think I kinda know about esports and sports from first person perspective, but hey, don't let that stop you from creating that world you started to create in this thread.

No idea what you are trying to say or referring to bud. Did I reply to you in another post somewhere? IF a developer doesn't consider this a sport he should be fired. Don't like that comment I guess? I'm trying to figure out what the heck you are upset about. I don't think that was flaming respawn. But now I will.
One thing thats a slap in the face to solo players by the devs, is the only win stat being "wins with full squad". Thats a joke on us. Its like they favor people with friends and look down on the majority of gamers. Or maybe they are non sportlike carebears who think stats breed negative players. When anyone who follows sports, know that stats are what makes sports and will attract more players who simply like to follow their own personal progress then those who will be turned off by them. More stats is always better.
But what an insult to the majority of people playing this game who don't have two regular teamates to play with. To me that's very telling on how they don't know how to put themselves in the gamers shoes to even foresee teaming with random people on 3 man teams with no raking system being a problem.
Unlike in the street where you can't change face, anonymous people online have very little respect for anyone else, especially the game. Its like respawn never even used the internet before!
You know whats weird? You calming i ever responded to you. and then responding to your own post as if you are responding to me, before I even had a chance to respond hahah. Your a strange duckling.....
And I still don't even know what you are saying. That you don't consider video games as respectable as athletic sports in the street? That you think competitive only means professional tourneys where money is involved? That pwning noobs is competitive? That most casual players don't want competitive matches? Well then you are absolutely wrong!
@MrFriskles wrote:
you sound like such a * lol.. esports get a job and go outside kid
If you are against fair play and competitive matches. You've never went outside and played athletic sports in your local park. Or you just feel you don't need to apply the same principles to video games. Which I find disrespectful to the industry.
