I guess the only way the good people at Respawn can think of to evolve the game is to just make everything faster. Guns faster. Movement faster. I watched Halo take 18 years to go from a solid and simple fps to a hyperactive twitch shooter. It's why I left. Now I come to Apex and find that the same thing has happened in six years. Before you know it you'll buy a game and watch it turn into something unrecognizable in just a matter of months. All because developers can't understand that you come up with a gameplay formula and then you add in things around it. More maps. More game types. More community and creator features. But as soon as you start messing with the bedrock underneath all of that then you're just inviting your players to find some other, more stable, game. At least that's how I see it.
I'd love for Apex to return to this level around Seasons 10-15, but they're ruining everything themselves.
The Halloween event is probably the only positive thing right now.
Mechanics like the dash and double jump should be AVAILABLE TO ALL CHARACTERS, but in a separate mode outside of BR and rankeds. It gives too much of an advantage.
This game shouldn't favor free movement, and Sparrow and Ash are currently the two characters most people play without skills, as their strength is sufficient to handle most fights.
Oh, and I almost forgot...
The PK is another one of the most unbalanced things in this game. This weapon shouldn't be on the ground if it's going to deal that much damage and kill anyone in two shots.
