1. Not a believer in "asking the community" much of anything, but certainly not about maps. I've played games that gave lobbies a vote for map choice. What a train wreck. You end up playing the same map over and over and over again. Tedious.
2. I'm a first week player, but I've only been playing ranked this season so I can't say if going back to a previous system would be an improvement. Except that I CAN say because nothing could be worse than the current system. I could write a book on everything that's wrong with it. It isn't designed to give you an objective summary of your abilities, or practical goals to work toward. It's designed to discourage you from doing anything at all until you hit platinum, and by the time you do then you've forgotten how to play because you haven't been playing because you don't have to play to rank up until you're out of gold. What kind of system allows you to move up the left side of the bell curve without firing a single bullet???? Oh, but wait! Then you get split and have to start all over again. Because they don't care whether you're good or bad (witness all the high-tier players moving EASILY through bronze and silver lobbies at the expense of every casual player in the game), they only care that you keep playing. In order, I suppose, to give all those diamond three stacks something to shoot at. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I could go on all day. So, yeah. Please change it. To ANYTHING other than what it is right now.
3. It's a nice idea, but there are already enough constraints on the matchmaker to prevent it from ever putting together an actual balanced match. Giving it even more criteria to take into account would only make this game even closer to true random matchmaking and we're too close to that as it is, imo.
