Not a fan of all the changes

Apex is just getting ridiculous. You work so hard to get good at a game just for them to change it it just seems pointless.

On top of all that the only real character I play with is Caustic and they nerfed him so bad I don't even know how to play with them anymore. I got so many videos captured of gas traps that have been set off the enemy is in the gas but they're not taking damage. Furthermore i throw them out they get set off and then all of a sudden they shrink and that causes the enemy not to take damage. I don't even know what's causing it to shrink. You can already shoot them and set them off you can already shoot them and Destroy them why the f*** are they shrinking. It pissing me off so bad man.

I have been playing since the season 3 and I have never heard of anyone saying i want to die faster.... Before you can even identify who's shooting you you're dead. Can somebody please put in the comments how many people voted to die faster...

Simple stuff they can't even get right. In the Team Deathmatch every match you queue up different or return to the main menu different or exit the game different. Some games you can just press AAA and it'll go all the way back to the main menu other games you have to hit B then hold X other games you can just hit up on the d-pad. It makes no sense and it's confusing af. Who cares that you're going to a different map or whatever just allow me to push up on the d-pad or AAA and get me to the next f****** round or game.

And then what's with all these screens and pop-ups and s*** after you die and after the game is in. Again none of it is uniformed across games, just put my stats up on the screen after I'm dead like before what's with all this right or left buttons to scroll through screens and s*** I don't care about none of that. I want to see my stats just like the season before. Which brings me to my next point the main menu. Nowhere on the menu or in the game does it show you what season number it is. Just put a season number on the **bleep** screen you got all this other stupid s*** . I can't explain to people oh I've been playing since season amped nobody knows what the f*** that is.

Trying to modify your weapons, again in Team Deathmatch not uniformed at all. Why does different maps require me to modify my guns in a different manner. Sometimes you push x sometimes you have to scroll over and select it with a sometimes you have to push left on the d-pad sometimes you have to time it perfect or it'll kick you out and put you in the **bleep** game. Again stupid and confusing and ridiculous and makes people not want to play. I shouldn't have to remember three or four different ways to do the same **bleep** thing.

I don't understand the game anymore or what they're trying to achieve. I'm not trying to learn how to play a new game or learn how to use the same character I've been using every time a new season comes out. Leave the **bleep** game alone how people like it make new maps and new game modes or stop being lazy and build a new game. You're going to make people stop spending their money

  • I completely agree with you.

Current developers have been increasingly empowering free movement for legends who already have it. This is causing other legends to fall further and further behind.

THIS GAME HAS NEVER BEEN AS UNBALANCED AS IT IS NOW. It's getting worse every season!

EA, do something about this and bring back good old Apex... What have you done to this game?

Vince Zampella is rolling in his grave, watching how you've ruined this game.

  • The devs said, quite a long time ago, that it was their intention to evolve the game over time in such a way that "the Apex you're playing today is not the Apex you'll be playing a year from now."

Personally I agree with you that they've lost their way. I think their "evolution" of the game has been almost exclusively negative and the ever declining population seems to suggest that we're not alone in our opinion.

But, they warned us. We stay at our own peril.

It sounds like, "We're going to destroy your favorite game, so if you want to stay, do it at your own risk."

And unfortunately, that's how it works in practice.

I can't decide if they think old players leave no matter what so they have to try appealing to new players... or if they think the only way to retain old players is to mix things up enough to make them feel like they're playing a new game. I'd say they're failing either way. For the first ten or fifteen seasons this game "evolved" very slowly - changes, whether I liked them or not, seemed thought through and not game-breaking. These days it's just "how do we make it faster without regard for balance or continuity?" The culmination, so far, being Wildcard. Which I played a lot in its first season. Then the cheaters and smurfs moved in, but that wasn't the real problem. The real problem was a proliferation of mobility legends, many of whom got buffs to make them too powerful, and then the mode added speed boost and wall running on top of it all. Until it got to the point where the final three was just Octane and Ash times nine, and you couldn't even see anyone. They just blurred around the map until only one player was left standing. So I went back to trios and never looked back. They took away duos. They made ranked unplayable in a lot of different ways, but fixed drops was the nail in the coffin. Then they created Wildcard and then they made that unplayable by the second season. All that's left is trios, and frankly there are a LOT of problems there as well. I guess now I just wait for a return of OG Kings. Though they'll probably find some way to ruin that too.

There's probably nothing worse in Wildcard than 3stack Mirage, where each of them wears the same skin... Even three Caustics can be pushed away from a building, but when you have 3x Mirages who use their ultimate at the same time, it's better to just leave the game. It's just not fun.

The "Wildcard" mode itself is a good idea, but there are some features that ruin the game's overall feel. Like the recent mythical R99 or now the swords. These are weapons that have no countermeasures. Charged sword kill me in two hits... XD

Furthermore, charging it near enemies works better than Crypto's ultimate, because it removes the entire shield, not 50 points (like Crypto's). This is so OP that I can't understand why it was implemented and what its purpose is.

I agree 100% that the concept of Wildcard is a good one, even though I spent entire seasons ranting about LTMs with free and unlimited respawns. No, I've definitely come to see the benefit - although I still have to say that I don't want them in the main game. And I'm pretty sure they're coming. Maybe not this season, maybe not next season, but at some point... they're coming.

Yeah, Wildcard seems great on paper, but as always, the devil is in the details. I never encountered a Mirage three stack, but my reaction would have been instantaneous: QUIT. I left before the over-powered weaponry became a thing. If the motion proliferation hadn't driven me out then the weapons definitely would have.

And I get it. It's supposed to be an "anything goes" format where kids can just rack up easy stats. Sure. I guess. Problem is they've taken it far enough that I'm pretty sure I'm not the only player they've driven out of the hopper. The more they amp things up then the more they polarize "winners" and "losers." And suddenly the losers get fed up and leave and there's nobody left but a small pack of sweat-soaked Adderall junkies on some kind of perpetual repeat loop. Yet another Solos, another buster sword, another quads. Another good idea ruined by poor execution. Trying to pull in some kid who was always going to flake off back to Fortnite no matter what Respawn came up with to try to lure them in. Wait a minute... a dev who doesn't understand their core audience or what should be the immutable features of their own gameplay? If I had a buck for every time THAT happened....

  • I would have added some to this thread, but you literally nailed everything I wanted to say lol.

There really isn't much more to tell this awful, awful dev team.
