Apex legends almost unplayable due to lag/stuttering
I have played Apex since day 1 with no problems aside from some unimportant server issues. The problems started appearing when I made a new account.
What are my problems:
- GPU usage is very low (30-50%)
- CPU usage is at 100%
- Sometimes, the game works just fine. It runs smooth at 144hz with no problems whatsoever. Then just suddenly, audio starts screeching, my fps drops to under 100hz, screen tear appears, and sometimes my mouse stops working correctly. It basically makes the game unplayable also, my frames are not delivered at the times thew were sopposed to be.
- Sometimes, if i keep playing regardless of the lag, my pc freezes amd crashes and when it restarts, then it usually works perfectly for about an hour or two.
- Does that regardless of the settings
What I have tried so far:
- Reinstalled the game
- Ran it as an adminstrator
- Installed RTSS
- Reinstalled drivers, also tried old ones
- Disabled Origin In-Game
- Disabled Full-screen optimisations
- Cleared Cache
- Changed power plans
- Set max framerate to 185hz
- Updated basically all drivers under the sun
- Uninstalled all apps that could cause the game to not work properly (Razer Synapse etc.) except Discord, for which I dusabled hardware acceleration
- Used all kinds of launch commands
- Disabled Origin WebHelper service
- Reinstalled Visual studio redistrubutable packages
- Messed with the settings in the Nvidia control panel
- Disabled the Firewall
- Probably some more but I can't currently remember.
Can anyone please help me?
I have been loving season 9 so far, I think that it's one of the best seasons, that they have put out, but the majority of the time on Apex has been filled with frustratino caused by not hitting my shots due to lag or being killed because my mouse wont turn.
My specs:
- Intel I7 7700k
- MSI Z270 Titanium Xpower
- Titan X Maxwell
- 16gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200mhz
- Corsair RM750x
- Samsung 860 evo m.2
- WD Bluei 2tb
- HP Omen x 27 monitor
Note 1:
- The issue is not caused by thermal throttling, the GPU sith at about 50°C, while the CPU is at about 65°C
Note 2:
- I have reinstalled Windows about a month ago but don't know if it was prior to this issue or not. Could this be the problem?
Note 3:
- If I can edit this, I will probably add some video footage if it is possable.
Thank you for your time.
