Apex legends no fill option solves nothing
BIG NEWS! We will get a no fill option during mid season 8 or by season 9, they are testing it right now and will implement it "sooner rather than later". Here are my remarks on this:
1) How hard is it to implement a no fill option? Devs have been talking about this for months and they are still testing it internally accoring to a tweet made 4 days ago. Does it really take 6 months to implement a button that allows you to play solo?
2) IT SOLVES NOTHING!!! The problem with SBMM in duos and trios is that you get paired with lvl 37 dumb and lvl 48 dumber. They insta die because they don't know how to play the game and leaves and there you have it, 1 min into the game and you are playing solo against full squads - the no fill option.
That Respawn want to implement no fill and think it will satisfy the big crowd screaming for solos shows how fundamentally off they are on the state of the game and what the community wants. They are so blind and can't back down from their statement that "apex is a teambased game" and therefore they try crap like this instead of just implementing solo pubs straight up.
Solos would not solve all Apex problems but it would definitly bring a new dimension to the game. Another big problem Apex has is the lack of content. There are very few LTMs and most of them are reruns of old LTMs like the Winter Express. Pub matches have been the same since the game launched and are literally the most boring games because you got two options and none of them are ideal;
a) You hot drop with half the lobby and die instantly 9/10 games but at least you get to shoot someone. If you by some miracle make it past the first 3 minutes you run a marathon around the map trying to find the remaining 10-15 players.
b) You land safe and loot up. By the time your team is done looting 3/4 of the lobby is dead and you run a marathon around the map trying to find someone.
Personally I think pub games should be shorter (12-14 min) and with ring always closing like the LTM a while ago.
