Apex Legends servers are just bad by design
I've seen countless videos and forum posts about the state of the servers in Apex Legends; after seeing responses from EA representatives asking people about the state of their connection or their ISP provider, it's clear that they have little to no care or consideration for quality of life changes that this game so desperately needs.
They're oh so quick to respond to issues regarding store purchases and coin payments but when it comes to their 20hz tick rate that has been endlessly ridiculed since the games release, suddenly we're asking too much from a multi-billion dollar organisation, when we say that it needs to be changed.
2021 and EA still think that a 20hz tick rate is acceptable for a game that has a competitive eSports scene and even bigger playerbase. The lack of care that has gone into server stability and maintenance, since Apex Legends' release, is a perfect reflection of just how little EA actually care about their playbase unless they're contributing directly to their net profits.
It'll be sad to see such a great game turn into a laggy, glitchy mess but I see no signs that EA will be funding any form of server upgrades in the near or distant future unless said upgrades can directly impact the frequency of store purchases.
