Audio DLC please

Hello, Was hoping there would be a audio DLC soon? Some guy was walking underneath me when I was on top of a building AND IT SOUNDED LIKE 1 PERSON but turned out to be 2. Even Pathfinders foot steps sound faint or sometimes like water. Idk but when Respawn comes out with the DLC I know they'll make more money lol.

@OldTreeCreeperThanks, I'll try it. Although I personally feel like we shouldn't have to get 3rd party programs just to hear sounds within the game.

Edited: Yup, this fixes the audio issue. I was actually able to hear people run up from behind before they shot at me. Thanks so much!

  • I have astro a50's and I'm using the astro command center. I've even updated everything recently plus my teamates/friends say the footsteps on their headsets are bad too.

@OldTreeCreeperI didn't even turn down the bass setting, and it worked perfectly for me. Might be because my headphones are modified by Razer Synapse as well. Who knows.

@espadakillar69 No, it won't get you banned. This only enchances the exisiting sounds. Its no different than what programs like Razer Synapse and THX Spatial Audio does with its audio. As mentioned, it doesn't modify any of the game files either. Its like if your headphones came with special drivers that work better for Apex Legends. (Yes, when you plug in a new device, be it a mouse, or a keyboard, even a phone, it installs a driver that tells your computer how to read the device, what the device does, etc).

@Joemanji This is how I set mine up, and its working perfectly for me.

@OldTreeCreeper I ended up uninstalling the software as Apex just circumvented it. Things like footstep audio defaulted to not existing again, which tells me its the game's sound engine and there's nothing one can do to actually fix it themselves.

Everything else sounded way better despite not needing any changes in the first place, but Apex? Apex didn't care that it was made better. It took the improvements and threw it into the ground even more. Also the recording software I use doesn't know how to encode the audio while SteelSonar is being used, so I end up with clips that have the audio set to 5% or no audio at all, and trying to make it be louder, (if it even existed) is like trying to hear the game's enemy footsteps.

Apex is suppose to be a "competitive game"... nothing says "competitive" than "zero audio". While, sure... some people are deaf and thus cannot hear the game anyways, but usually they're assisted with visual ques. Apex doesn't even bother having visual ques either. But hey! We got stickers.
