Curious why someone who only plays once in a while chooses ranked instead of pubs?
One of the things I hate about ranked is that conventional wisdom forces you to go where your team goes and do what your team does, and that's confirmed by your description of being forced into hot drops. But in my experience, and apparently yours as well, the team is almost always wrong, so why would you choose ranked where you are punished for their bad decisions or punished by having to solo through without squadmates? Seems like a no-win to me.

@reconzeroI put the reason I chose ranked in the first part of the post:
"To start with, pub matchmaking is horrible for players who don't play regularly since season 0. You are just there to feed the apex predators for their warmups, or you end up on their team and spend most of your time just trying to catch up to their break neck pace. Neither is fun, so the only hope you have left of not getting constantly melted by pros with perfect aim or being a spectator on your own team is to try ranked.
