Solos or Unlimited Respawn Modes...I don’t use a mic because I have absolutely no interest at all in getting cussed out for taking your favorite legend, listening to someone smashing keyboard clicks, background tv/music/baby crying/people talking/etc, dealing with trolls, getting cussed out by some Octane who didn’t communicate whatsoever and full sent a full squad straight into his deathbox... playing an entire game for one random to try to be a hero and rush in solo in the final 3... the list goes on and on
The reason I might play as a solo early game is rather simple... I want play solos but there is no solos available ya I can use no fill which I do quite a bit but when your doing nothing but hotdropping to capitol city,estates, the boxing ring, etc why put yourself at a disadvantage as a 1 v 3 or 1 v2 when its easier to leave and rejoin a new game... most of the time my random teammates leave as soon as they hit the ground... a better solution than adding solos would be team deathmatch modes with unlimited respawns I swear if they added any mode with unlimited respawns I wouldn’t ever leave early in casuals because the sole reason I do it in the first place is because I want to skip looting and jump straight into the action and continue having nonstop action until I eventually die and then just leave to restart the process but with a mode with unlimited respawns you would just skydive right back into the action or respawn somewhere in the poi and there would be no reason to leave early
2 modes with unlimited respawns I would like to see.. for BR a 20 v 20 or something where the first team to 100-150 kills wins and for Arenas a game mode where its 2 teams of 4 or 6 players at a particular POI like Skull Town, Estates, Skyhook, Capitol City, Sorting Factory, etc and the first team to 65-75 kills wins the game
Note: The lack of a unlimited respawn mode is basically why Rogue Company has replaced Apex Legends for me, I spend so much time on 6 v 6 Deathmatch that I really don’t even play Apex Legends anymore unless I want to mess around on Wattson, Mirage, Gibralter, or Octane but even then its usually just hotdropping unless I’m in a mood to actually play Battle Royale which somedays I do enjoy it but 90% of the time... I don’t and the statistics show... a couple weeks ago it said in the last 2 weeks I played Rogue Company 40+ hrs and Apex only 10 ish and the only reason I spent 10 on Apex was for dailys or event challenges if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t of got on at all except a couple hours at the most to mess around on BR but to be 100% honest I’m not even excited for Season 11... The map looks nice but Ash’s Tactical has got to go you can’t just taze someone to immobilize and kill them... Stunning would be great for a unlimited respawn mode but has absolutely no place in a Battle Royale setting its almost as worse as a Kraber you could have a 10 kill 2k damage game get tazed... can’t move... your dead which is Respawn remembered was why the Arc Star was nerfed... Wattson’s fence stun is fine imo because you can see it from a mile away, but even Gibralter or Bangalore’ Ult stun you and cost you the game in some situations stunning should NOT be in BR
Yeah the definatley need a game mode like fortnite team rumble or something like that. It would be nice though I'm not sure how that would go with picking the legends.
I don't know what kind of people you have been playing with but i have so far never been cursed out for picking a legend someone else wanted. Though the background sounds and other things are an issue, you don't necessarily need a mic to communicate. The ping function, if used properly not just to spam things, is quite handy for most things you'd need to communicate in the game. Won most of my small amount of wins not ever having to say a word to the other players, just pinging here and there.
As for the hot dropping, if you're going in with a squad that isn't prepared for it, and you can see they're not by their stats, or if you jump away from your squad to hot drop by yourself, you're already at a disadvantage. I've seen players take less experienced squads into these situations, fail, and then they get mad at the other players because it didn't work out, when it wasn't exactly their fault. They stuck together as a squad as they should have, but they weren't ready for it, which is something the jumpmaster needs to think about when getting ready to launch, but they don't because they want the most kills or they believe they can take everyone out on their own and that isn't the case.
It isn't just BR that suffers from the lack of comraudery. Arena's takes a big hit from it as well. People are always 'disconnecting' or leaving the game early because they have an issue with the squad they got paired with. I've watched streamers that will leave their squad to try and pull off a flank play get angry because their squad wasn't strong enough to hold the area long enough for them to pull it off, and then try to do the same crap over again, knowing it won't work. They'd get downed on the opposite side of the map trying to flank and then wonder why their teammates aren't there to help them, when they're already busy taking the brunt of the attack. The toxicity is atrocious, they sit there calling their squad mates trash and other names and putting all the blame on them, when they are as much to blame.
Harassment and abandonig the game are easy enough to report, but what is the punishment? A slap on the wrist and ten minutes penalty? Just so they can hop back on and do it again and again? What about the people that are basically game throwing?
Having a solo or a unlimited respawning mode doesn't automatically take these people out of normal br matches. Some people are very much just trolls like that, but what's to stop them?
How about a way to actually prove when someone is doing these things? That was the people who have game crashes, or connection issues don't get in trouble? How about a way to actually rejoin a game when we do get disconnected? Because it isn't exactly fair to get penalized for Apex's crappy servers.
