Bad teammates

I'm so sick and tired of getting stuck with sucky squad mates, and no, I don't mean new players. I'm talking about the players that don't communicate with you, the ones who don't use a mic or ping things out, the ones who will straight up abandon you and go off on their own and basically throw the game because they get themselves killed wanting to act like a one man squad. It has been a thing since this game has come out and I've been off and on because it is down right ridiculous. Nothing is being done about these kinds of players and it is well past time to make them accountable. There is no solo mode, this is a communication, teamwork based game. When I get with squads that actually do these things, it's great! It doesn't matter if I win or lose because I had a decent run because we worked together.

I'm tired of wanting to at least place in the top ten but get stuck with squads that want to do nothing but hot drop and don't give a * or bother having a mic to ask their team anything about where they want to go. Why the hell even fill your team out if you're going to throw the game for everyone else?

I'd very much rather play with a squad of communicative noobs than with a guy that has 1000 something kills under his belt, because that kill count means nothing if they're just going to ditch you. I get that there's no ranking with who gets placed in what squad, but it tries to even it out by placing weak players with stronger players. Unfortunately those stronger players tend to just want to leave you behind, forgetting they were once in your place. They all just want strong players like themselves but when you do that in a game like this, it would just be the same players together all the time and the noobs don't get a chance to learn or improve because they just get annihilated without someone stronger to help show them the ropes.

It's absolutely the worst in duos. At least if you're in trios and someone does this crap you have one other payer to stick with, but you're still at a disadvantage.

I literally go 10 to 20 games in a row with these kinds of players, and I try hard to stick with them even when they jump without me or run off, or get in fights while I'm still trying to gather gear or haven't even got a gun yet while they're rocking two guns themselves.

You don't have to have a mic to communicate well. There's a ping for a reason, use it!

"Why not look for group?" Because a majority of the time people looking for groups want other players of certain stats, kills, ranking, age, whatever, because all they want is to increase their chances of getting a win, and who doesn't?

This isn't a cry of "oh the game is too hard I never win." That's not the case. I've gotten wins, not alot but I have. This is a cry of 'put a stop to * * teammates." Make them accountable by game throw because that is basically what they are doing.

Stronger players: stop being * to noob players. Yes it's annoying to have to carry your team but if they're willing to and can communicate with you, help them. Give them pointers, give them tips, help them improve so you all have a better chance. Stop dropping new players in hot drops, they're going to get killed quickly leaving you by yourself. Agressive playing isn't always the answer.

New/noobs: do what you can to learn from the more experienced players. Use the firing range to test out different guns and see which ones suit you better. Use the figing range to check out the armor and weapon components and see what they do. Arenas is also a good way to help improve your skills without worry of third parties. If you die don't get mad and leave, watch the other players, see what they do, and ask yourself, what could I have done differently?

And  For the love of god -this goes to everyone- don't abandon your team! Land together, ping where you want to go, ping things for your teammates, ping out enemies. Retreat if you have to and try to get banners later, if you can't you can't. But DON'T BE A DOUCHE!

  • I think the problem is everyone thinks it's a algs game. 90% of the games I play it's fall teammates die or 1 man army mode it. My favorite is the ones who grab a gun a stack of ammo and ready to go in on a 1v3. Their favorite excuse is when I ask them why? The answer is always it's pubs so it doesn't count. My reply is so you play the game to drop and die right away? Everytime? Yes I only play pubs because I solo queue and in the back of my mind I know playing ranked it would worse. In the last week I've watched my KD go from 1.77 to 1.4. To me it's amazing I've actually won 182 games of 3.4k with a positive KD. I've also noticed if Im doing really good in a game my teammates get overly full of themselves thinking their getting kills then they go solo and just die. The game is very frustrating. I know I'm not being matched with players anywhere near my skill level just by the way the play.

@MYKN1F3URF4C387 There's honestly been no improvement to teamwork game play since I posted this, if anything it's gotten worse. I can hardly get teammates that will ping things any more, used to at least get that from my team.
  • Yeah the only way to play is with a friend or group I guess I may get ahold of my friends from Xbox since that's where I first played when it was released because I know they know how to play. I've also noticed that I usually turn the game on around 1pm and have come to the conclusion that the kids that get on after school or 3:30 pmish are far better than whoever's playing before.
