Well. This is a thread I feel like intruding on xP.
So since I play Bangalore so much, I'm going to give the perspective of a player who plays this legend, a lot.
I could understand the idea of balancing Bangalore, but not nerfing her, just giving a damage increase would just be a nerf, not a balance.
Bangalore is only truely valid in 1 area, her passive, speed boost while being shot at is the only thing that makes her still relevant (in my opinion.)
Her tactical can be completely bypassed by digital threats and bloodhounds ultimate, making it already extremely risky to use and is only something that is used in such a way that it makes a good play.
Her ultimate is, well, ok is the way to put it. Blanketing an area with "bombs" is usually an awesome ability, but it's the purpose it can fulfill is to force players to move and throw up a bit of dirt for cover. The fuse on the bombs are so ridiculously long, that you could very well be dead before your bombs even go off.
So that brings us back to her passive, the only thing that really makes her valid, it's basically the same thing as Octane's tactical the 3 big differences are, Octane's tactical is loud, visually loud as-well, and deals self-damage.
Also, another thing, all the legends currently that don't have the debuff on incoming damage, the one's the hunch over the least while running don't have that debuff, examples are Caustic, Octane and Bangalore. My thought was that the legends with highly unique running animations (Wraith, and Lifeline [well Crypto, but I think they're holding him rn]) and are short are harder to hit, and are guaranteed the ones to receive the debuff.
Lifelines head bobs side-to-side, and we all know how wraith runs.
And Bangalore is tall btw.
I mean Octane can run the same speed as Bangalore, so balancing Bangalore adding that debuff would mean the devs would probably have to give it to Octane as-well
fare-well to current thread peers. 😉

@WitherpizzaDont waste your time discussing a pointless nerf to noobs.

@WitherpizzaAssuming you had to run, how many times have you been able to escape a full team while using Bangalore? Basically every single time right? If I shoot near or at her, she gets a massive speed buff with no drawbacks and a very low cooldown. I have chased Bangalores for over a minute straight to no avail.
No other character can escape as easily as Bangalore. Wraith leaves a giant trail to follow, pathfinder's grapple is so slow now that he dies midair constantly and his downed body grapples away lol...
Coupling her massive speed boost with the horrendous 20hz tick or less servers, makes it impossible to hit her sometimes. I should start recording clips of shots that visibly pass through her body. A nerf is only needed until the servers can be run at 30hz to 60hz. Search this forum or others for all the detailed information about why that matters. Battle(non)sense does great videos about netcode and he explains the jargon too.- 6 years ago
@Pallo420 I've actually never come to a situation where using Bangalore's speed boost helped me get out of a bad situation/fight. I once had a game where I was solo trying to get my squad back, and a full squad of 3 was chasing me through the whole map in Kings Canyon, they were so desperate to kill me, I just took a zipline to a higher ground and they just followed suit making them an easy kill.
With that being said, the whole time they were always on my tail and I could never shake them, Wraith and Pathfinder can escape easier even after their recent nerfs.
Wraith can phase literally avoiding all damage for a short period of time and removing footsteps, so although you could follow the trail, think about if you were playing and a team is sniping at you, well in this situation as Bangalore you could run to the rock that's on your right but risk getting shot even with speed boost. Now if you're playing Wraith, you can move safely to that position without worrying, this is why Wraith players are so confident and aggressive. Because as long as they have their tactical ready, they can just dip whenever the fight gets really heated.
Same with Pathfinder, being able to move really quickly and almost unpredictably can be a deciding factor on whether that Pathfinder lives or dies.
Pathfinder can also Grapple Slingshot Attack, which is when a Pathfinder launches themselves towards you while you're trying to heal in just a matter of seconds, not even Octane can push that quickly.
So what, Bangalore gets a little speed boost while being shot at, just like @hhnbbfggty66, I've killed lots of Bangalore's and Octane's, they are honestly pretty easy to hit and have almost never escaped from my deadly grasp.
Goodday fellow Thread peers.
