The delay is like a second or two before the other player is knocked.
Hrmm unless something random like they getting hit my one tick of circle dmg that knocks them I never experienced this, at least not 1-2 seconds after I shot the last bullet. But when you mentioned it, I have experienced some occasions when I spray and the knock comes as a pleasant surprise literally from the last bullet of my spray when I am fairly sure that I need to switch weapon or reload to finish the fight. But then we are talking about like 0.2 seconds into the reload animation and not full seconds.
Haha I cant even tell if you are being serious or sarcastic.
- 3 years ago@Balladalidila Haha, I figured my post may come across as such. I believe there is some truth to that absolutely. I have also seen the footage posted from the live Dev stream way back and they actually admitted how they re-write history or (change history) with what they called a "Blended history rewriting mechanism." verbatim.
It was explained that this is done deliberately for the players with super high ping.
Much like the MM, which they call SBMM (skill based) which it is anything but. I agree they do assign you a skill rating but then use that skill rating to set you up to win and lose in patterns. Patterns shown through research paid for by hard earned EA money which statistically showed to keep people playing longer.
So at this point, I wouldn't discard these types of accusations quickly and without strategic assessment and an open mind for profit building. : )
I personally believe Apex is more rigged in many different ways than not. But thats just my opinion. Created from thousands of hours of playing Apex and really paying close attention to when specifics happen seeing consistent patterns in game. Some of us would do things specifically to watch how the system reacts and documented lots. It was the only way to see patterns of how players in the gaming industry are at the mercy of the game developers and the companies that control them.
Money moves the world my friend. Then again, I just noticed a small hole in my tinfoil hat. So maybe take with a grain of salt lol.- Balladalidila3 years agoSeasoned Ace
I also believe that the game is "rigged" if rigged means there are variables that affect things so its NOT totally random. But how I differ from many on this forum is that I dont think those algorithms are specifically targeting me in a malicious way. I believe that everyone is playing under the same algorithms and rules and a proof of this is that people have drastically different KD, winrate and average dmg dealt. How can I for instance have 2.4 average KD when my Pred IRL friend has 5-6 and my hardstuck platinum friend not even 1 KD if the system is rigged in an unfair way? Our different KD just show that we play in the same matchmaking system and our individual skill is the variable that makes us get different KD.
When it comes to the matchmaking in pubs for instance, I do believe that the matchmaking tries to spread out all the players who performed well their last matches into different teams and then "fill up" with average-to-badly performing players. That is why "good" players often feel like they are matched with bad teammates. But I dont agree with those people who also claim that they always get bad teammates vs entire lobbies of predator sweats. What these people are saying is that the matchmaking is specifically targeting them to set them up for fail and I call that tin-foil hat theories.

@Balladalidila My concept of time might just be a bit off, it could very easily have been only 0.2-0.5s after I was trying to reload that the knock had occurred. I remembered being taken by surprise when they were knocked after a spray.
While I also believe that the game is rigged to some degree, like you've said, not in a malicious way, but more in a way like what @NickBeam27 had said. You get set up with wins and losses. The games you win, your teammates have an actual clue on how to play the game, where the ones you lose, your teammates are usually lower leveled, and/or have no clue how to play the game. They also might be the ones who run off trying to TTV solo everyone they come across or they steal every loot in existence regardless if their main is Octane.
In other words, the game feels like its intentionally giving you teammates it thinks you cannot properly work with or ones who would end up getting the team killed when trying to set up a loss, and then give you ones that would be more supportive or even better than you when trying to set up a win. Its still "random" in that way, yet when set up for a loss or win, your choices can change a lot.
Whenever I get teammates who push fights solo or does something else that is basically throwing the match, I would just disengage from the fight and maybe get their banner later if I could. There's no point in getting myself killed to either grab the banner or to try and win a fight that's usually getting 3rd, 4th, and 5th partied. Wraith isn't wrong when she says "every decision counts". The problem with some bad teammates is that they would block doors or get in your way, and you're unable to counter that to make a better choice, its a thing that happens sometimes.
