@Balladalidila Yes, I agree with that. "I also believe that the game is "rigged" if rigged means there are variables that affect things so its NOT totally random."
See I truly believe, now anyway, after seeing the paten and research from the Psychologists on the studies done with EA's involvement along with some other factors that the system or algorithm does try to retain you at all costs. We all know if I win every match in Apex during a session, I will definitely get bored and will end the session and probably not play for awhile, as I may feel I am not being challenged enough to keep me engaged in the game.
We also all know, that if we lose every game, game after game, getting destroyed within seconds of the first engagement.... we quit and don't tend to come back for awhile, if ever.
We also know that based on the two above that neither is going to attract as many sales on products....hence the research done at the University in human behavior. Remember EA will never spend oodles of money to understand how to manipulate human beings in the gaming industry out of money without exploiting their findings.
So from doing the research over the last 4 years and paying close attention and even going as far as to document sessions to notice a possible pattern I myself along with a few good friends have found the following... There comes a time when your own skill level will not be enough to win in your own Skill rating lobby, when the algorithm has decided based in your last few matches, how long they were, the KD after them, the damage and kills and placement that either you have had a few good matches to be retained that you are now able to safely take some loses at the expense of much higher rated players without losing you as a player. Vice versa, it seems to sense when you've been decimated 5 to 10 straight matches and based on their research you have a boiling limit that is where you quit and may not come back (certainty won't spend money) - this is where you end up in matches where your teammates are decent and your opponents are your skill rating and/or lower. Ensuring that this particular match is not necessarily a win, but a fun time... again to "retain" you. In the hopes that you will spend money at some point.
Now anyone that hates the conspiracy theory - this is your time to opt out lol.
As I believe that the above is accurate based on my findings. No one will ever convince me otherwise. However, with that being said... I ponder at times to what else is happening behind the scenes to ensure that we lose or win/have a fun match. As I believe that who you get as teammates or opponents alone can never be enough to ensure the outcomes they want. I worry that other factors aid in assisting the proper outcomes the algorithm is searching for when doing its thing to retain you - manipulation of things such as lag/ hit registration / recoil / movement.
We have all at times and have seen many posts on here where ppl have questioned, mentioned, complained about. Like, I use gun "A" every day and have mastered the recoil for years, yet there are matches every often where the gun you have mastered is completely incontrollable. Why? Was that just an off day? No I don't buy it. Having an off day means, you'll miss the odd shot here and there. There are times ppl have reported not being able to hit the broad side of a barn with their best weapon. Yet other times ppl use a gun they have never really mastered and yet report aim snapping like a pro and killing everyone they come across with ease.
Most just chalk up all these little things as server issues and maybe that is exactly what is happening. But I've seen enough consistent patterns that I personally don't believe every time I feel like my 0.6 aim assist on PS4 console for a particular match just felt like it went up to 0.8. yet the very next match I feel and can see that I have almost 0 aim assist and feel like the aiming is linear. Some matches after I have lost 10 in a row, Every single bullet hits its mark and I one clip ppl in milliseconds like the pros do. And after a win, my very next match I can literally see around 30% of my hits not registering. Coincidence? Maybe.... But you can't argue these things would ensure specific outcomes like losing or winning/ having a fun match.
I get it if this was once in a while things happening. But I see constant and consistent patterns that these above things only happen when I've lost too many or just won a match or had a high damage, high kill match with a good placement.
Just sharing my opinion. I'm sure this will stick me right into the conspiracy bubble lol.
