Bhop and muzzle flash

Question

Hello, just to say that I understand why you removed the commands to reduce or remove the muzzle flash, but can’t you reduce it for everybody ? In every good FPS, you can see where you shoot and I feel like it’s not the case in Apex atm.. There’s a lot of tracking in this game so it’s even more important to be able to see where you’re shooting. Just saying.

For bhop while healing I have 0 hope but please try to reconsider it.. it’s not hard to master, it’s a movement mechanic, everything about it was perfect, in a competitive and in a fun aspect it was just so great.. Removed so much fun for me and lots of players using it, I know lot of people can’t do it and it’s sad for them, but in every good competitive game you can see these things harder to master, this is tryhard ok but, I never could spray properly in cs for example and I never wanted devs to remove spray pattern, see that’s the same thing you did, removed a good part that made the game what it is... No tryhard is only fun and casuals, please don’t go this way, don’t forget about high skilled players. Try to please everybody is hard but removing bhop is just bad for everybody I guess, because even those who can’t, will never learn and know this great feeling, now..

Except this, last updates are fine, so thanks for your great work.

@eXe_NIBIRUMuzzle flash indeed needs to be reduced on some of the weapons.

- Havoc - without a scope I can barely see the enemy when ADSing and firing with just iron sights;

- Devotion - same thing - almost impossible to hit when ADSing;
- same is valid for R99 and some other weapons;

- Alternator, Hemlock, Spitfire, pistols - those are quite good for use with iron sights;

@eXe_NIBIRU even on console you could semi bhop and it really clutched some games. It's a learned skill not a hack you have to set up. This is a fast paced, critical moments game where 1 second of healing can literally make all the difference. Bhoping gave you a slight advantage of escape when the odds were stacked against you. I would love to see it come back.

@eXe_NIBIRU bunny hop healing was a gamebreaking movement bug, and frankly I wouldn't be opposed to anyone EXPLOITING the BUG being banned. Everything regarding healing has been carefully worked out so you must actually think about risk/reward when using healing items, and being able to hop around at faster than run speeds completely defeats the purpose. Your logic is the same as "I enjoy using speed hacks, and the people who don't use them should just use them so they can enjoy how fun it is to use speed hacks".

Lmao, don’t make me laugh, bhop game breaking ? Similar as speed hack ? Don’t be mad because you can’t do it man. First, you can’t go faster as running when you bhop. That was just lot of fun, more skillcap, more nervous, faster, smoother, allowing lots more possibilities and avoiding the boringness of healing. In 0 way giving up crazy advantage to opponents if you are ok with your aim and movement and btw, octane can still do it, so why not reconsidering it for every legends.. When I heal I feel like I put pause on the game and that suck, that’s what I feel. Comparing this to speed hack lmao, can’t believe it, that’s because of people like you that this game will end casual, money trap and bad. That’s like saying boost, long jumps, wallbang are game breaking in cs go, or having maccros are cheat in wow. It’s just a step you can’t make because you are lazy, be realistic. If everybody is able to do it, nothing is gamebreaking, and still hard to escape when healing, still rewarding because you can’t shoot, your arguments are bad.

Absolutely love this game but i do agree that the muzzle flash is beyond anything I've ever seen before and I do see how it can be fundamental to the gameplay but with the amount of backlash and the amount of people who used the config files to remove it i think it deserves to be adressed. Either as a blanket reduction or through each barrel level removing some %. I think you should be able to see your enemy while shooting to maintain tracking and to better your aim.
