Bloodhound can't compete with crypto

@lokesher I can see why this comparison was made since both characters are good trackers but I disagree. Before Crypto was introduced I would agree that Bloodhound needed some small tweaks and I feel the same way now. I don't see any issue with competing with Crypto though.
Bloodhound's Ult should make him/her a better fighter and his/her team never has to stop moving while he/she tracks targets.
Crypto is an incredibly effective scout while his drone is out but the team has to slow down for him to work with them. Also when his drone is shot down he just becomes a man with a gun. Quite underwhelming.
People have already suggested allowing Bloodhound's pings to give teammates more accurate information which is all he/she really needs. Maybe shorten the ultimate's cooldown so it can be used more frequently in fights.
I digress. Crypto and Bloodhound are competing. They both are technological trackers, one meant to be played passively and a little bit of a distance, the other meant to be played up close. Competition is already happening since they both accomplish the same goal, find enemies.
However, their abilities make crypto the far better tracker at the moment. His ability to leave the drone in the sky, emp and pickup banners all have a 1 up on Bloodhounds very short scan, and his ult, which is loud and gets bloodhounds killed more often than not.
It's safe to say that Crypto at this state of the game is the better tracker, and Bloodhound needs more than good information, he needs something to level out the playing field. Like you said, w/out cryptos drone he's just a man w a gun.
similarly, bloodhound without a good scan is also a man with a gun. The ideas in this forum could really bring the character back into the light and allow for some unique gameplay and fights between other squads with crypto, or an interesting combo for a squad that wanted to run both characters. I'm glad we can at least agree he needs improvement though.
What if Bloodhound could 'sense a Crypto' hahahaha
