Bring back old store recolors!

The Apex Item Store is 99% of the time filled with garbage charms and weapon skins that no one wants so I barely ever check it. The new "bundles" are a joke - has anyone even bought the lifeline charm bundle yet? WHO EVEN WANTS THESE STUPID CHARMS? WHY DO THEY TAKE UP 4 SLOTS IN THE CURRENT SHOP WHICH ITSELF ONLY HAS 6 DISPLAYS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

And yet maybe 1 or 2 weeks out of the entire bloody year the store actually has one good skin that only lasts for like 5 days and if you don't check in that time it's gone forever. It's the stupidest way to run a digital storefront and whatever accountants Respawn or EA have working for them should be fired and probably don't even have any education higher than a high school diploma, because I can 100% GUARANTEE that profits would skyrocket by 10000 times if the store was not always full of crap no one likes.

By the end of Season 5 I will have over 2000 apex coins wondering what I should even do with them since there's never anything good to buy. I will have probably 50k+ legend tokens as well all saved up with nothing to spend them on.

I would autobuy Imperial Warrior for 1.8k coins for instance, if the Great Winter recolor was actually still in the shop. Or I would auto-buy Ghost Machine if The Dark Artist was still in the shop. I would get Dark Cloud with Legend Tokens if it was at all still possible. But nope Respawn/EA you're just going to pass on apex coin purchases from your customer base because you like your dumb limited time only bull even though it only hurts your profit in the end. Well done. As long as this continues I will never buy anything so in the end all you got from me was like 20 bucks from the lifeline/bloodhound bundle because I will never buy any skin that has a good recolor with such uncertainty over whether the recolor will come back.

@FreelancerWhisky I think the bundles are a nice addition to the store which needed some serious changes implemented for a long time. I do agree that their profits would skyrocket if they had better skins or a better store rotation, since the game released i've only ever purchased 2 skins with red tokens, but I have purchased a bunch of event items and random skins. Players like limited time items, that is what makes them special and persuades people to buy them.

What I would personally suggest with the store is 1 featured box where it gives you a choice of alternate skins every single week for a legendary weapon skin you ALREADY have so I can finally start using my stockpiled currency.

actually i think recolors not coming back is a good thing.for example airship assasin is so unique but would it be like this if everyone had it?

@MoNosDirtyGamingIve only bought 2 exclusives aswell... I got one for the gold dragon g7 and one for my merciless wingman skin about a month ago

I do agree the bundles are a nice touch but one thing I noticed was that if you already owned an item in the bundle the price wasn't any cheaper so they should make it cheaper if you already own 1 or more of the items in the bundle

I would love for them to either bring back old exclusives on rotation or change the requirement to both skins (that look the same) for example the red bloodhound skin has had 2 exclusives while my orange and blue one has had 0... i think the last exclusive was meant for the one I own but respawn messed up and did the red version twice it just seems the requirement is almost always the opposite of the versions I own which makes me feel like apex packs are rigged to give versions that have already had exclusives and won’t have new exclusives for awhile

Already champions like Revenant, even 4 months after their release, still didn't get even a single recolor, and you want previous ones to come back? How many mirage or bloodhound recolors people need?!

Here's the thing: I am okay with ACTUAL limited time events. Every limited time event has a trailer, an in-game quest that gives out free rewards, is generally 2 weeks or longer, has an official website announcement before the event even STARTS, etc. Skins for limited time events are designed specifically for that event.
However, we are talking about RECOLORS of existing skins. There are no new assets, no trailer, no extended period of time to puchase, no free rewards, NOTHING. If you don't check the store one week out of 365 days you will miss it forever. I would not be so mad if the recolors were announced ahead of time, were specifically mentioned as limited-time only, had a grace period of more than 3-5 days to purchase them, had a website announcement and trailer to raise awareness, and were not just mere paint jobs of EXISTING skins that people have already purchased.
I like your suggestion of having a sort of secondary store that changes every day and checks your inventory and offers recolors based on what you already own. That'd be a nice solution.

Then expand the store! Why is this so difficult? It's DIGITAL you can just add another tab for recolors like Respawn already did with Heirlooms. Are you telling me it's not within their capabilities?

The fact they make something last 5 days and then it will never come back increases the sales by A LOT.
The ''Buy now or forever to late'' method is used all over the world to make people buy things they maybe don't even want just in case.
Bringing old skins back and making the skins i got back then less exclusive will ensure i will never buy another exclusive item in the apex shop ever again.

@DaAceXD Or it infuriates players who have real life engagements and may have not been able to play for a few days and find out they missed the one chance per year they had at a cosmetic they wanted.

No I disagree with once per year rotation on an exclusive color variation, much more money to be made with a 1 or 2 day exclusive rotation where if you log on daily you may see that exclusive you've been waiting for. Not once per week.

You're painfully wrong and don't know what you're talking about. Number one, the recolors do not even cost Apex Coins/real money, they cost LEGEND TOKENS. Number two, most of the playerbase doesn't even know about them because they're never advertised and there's no hype around them. I 100% guarantee that 80-90% of the playerbase do not know what the skins that I listed in the opening post look like, because barely anyone pays attention to the crappy rotating store. And finally, BECAUSE they are limited time only it means that people will actually refuse to buy the skin associated with the recolor since they're not sure whether it will actually come back.

Imperial Warrior looks awful. I would never put it on my Bloodhound. However, I WOULD buy Imperial Warrior if The Great Winter was in the shop but it's not so that's 1.8k coins that EA missed out on me. The lost revenue can easily skyrocket into the millions.
