Calling Dibs On Specific items and weapons more fair

who all can agree in the next update they should make calling Dibs more fair ? A general idea to make the Dibs button more fair is when your teammates ping a specific item for you that you need and are in search of and you call dibs only you are aloud to pick that item up that you called dibs on and no one else in the squad can touch it unless you un dibbed that item.

@JACKTH3R1PP3R97 This is an interesting idea dude... but maybe one problem could appear and is that some toxic people could not allow you to take one item even if they dont want it, just to bother you. But is a nice idea. Lets see if more people are agree

@arcangelrene surely more people are having this same problem and are hoping they can make this idea become a thing I mean think about It your in a ranked match or a regular match your really in need of either ammo health or shields the basics your really low on these items and your partner pings it and you call dibs than a toxic person comes a long and steals it just because he wants to be a troll and than you die because of that

@JACKTH3R1PP3R97 interesting idea. Generally if I ping I can get the item, and if its pinged I leave it alone.
On a few occasions there is the tease of someone who pings an item, i ping it and just as i get to it they pick it up. Those players I'd like to see not being able to pick the item back up. They tend to drop it more than once for 'fun', we are not amused!

@JACKTH3R1PP3R97 I agree 100%, This is a problem for me in every game and it is now starting to really annoy me to the point where I no longer DIB anything at all and just find items as I play myself unless I am with friends which is only 2 to 3% of my play time, If this could be implemented into the game with just one addon to have a short timer that counts down so others can get it if you fail to pick it up!!! maybe 30 / 40 seconds????.

How about a timer that automatically undib an item if you don’t grab it in time? Then anyone on your team can grab it, but until then it will only be accessible to you whom called dibs?

Just set a low amount of available dibs like 1 or 2, then set a cooldown, after cancel dib or picked up dib, on how often you can dibs with an actual reservation so that you can still dibs but it does not bound the item to you. Meaning that you can reserve items and you can't abuse the system in an extensive way.

@JACKTH3R1PP3R97 While I want to agree, this would introduce problems such the mentioned toxic players locking you out from grabbing an item.

Another problem is that I would sometimes grab dibbed items and bring it to the person who dibbed it. I only do that when the ring is closing or its much quicker to bring the dibbed item to the teammate who dibbed it. Sometimes an enemy team would push us and I would grab the item to prevent the enemy team from taking it for themselves, unless its something I wasn't able to pickup, like a backpack.
