Can not exit death boxes and swap weapons is inconsistent mid fight

I used custom controls and I cant exit a death box if my cursor is hovering over an item and lately I cant seem to swap weapons and it always happens in the middle of a fight.

ill shoot someone and then press triangle near the end of the mag and nothing happens. My guy just stands there holding his weapon until I realise it hasnt registered me pressing triangle. It's not my controller because its happening on 3 different controllers on PC and PS5. Really starting to annoy me with all the bugs. FIX YOUR GAME. Useless!

Hi there, @Dominious1one.

Can you try switching to default controls? That should resolve the death box issue until we can get this fixed. It may also help with the triangle button issue you mentioned.

I have a similar problem on Xbox one, and my friend in my squad is also having this issue. If my cursor is hovering over items in a death box while looting and I press the "B" button to exit the death box, it does not actually leave the death box. In order to leave the death box, I have to move move the cursor over to the middle of the screen (away from the items) then press "B" and it will allow me to leave the death box. This makes looting the shield swap play far more difficult and has gotten me killed many times due to adding an extra half second delay before I can leave a death box (R99 time to kill is roughly 1 second in comparison).
Yes I use custom controls rather than the default. All 3 of us in my squad use custom controls rather than the default, but this glitch only happens to 2 of us. Our other squad member is lucky and off the hook. This glitch has been permanently in the game since the mid season 9 update/patch came out (not sure what it was).
I will try switching to default controls, and then back to my custom controls to see if that helps.

@SWORDZOFD3TH That's still not fixed? 🙄 I had that issue too, it was so annoying, especially as it seemed like a nerf as it was just some players it was applied to, and not to everyone. If this fixes it for you please let us know here.
