@MoNosDirtyGaming So this is going to sound pessimistic, but it’s the honest truth from someone who has several thousand kills and plenty of hours played on apex. I hate what this season pass has done to the game.
- I hate the new map, it is boring, repetitive, too wide open, and too massive.
- removing Kings canyon was a huge mistake. I did win a game and finish top 3 in a few others today while playing worlds end, but i never once enjoyed the games I was in. For this reason, I put down the game earlier tonight than usual, and am not sure I have the desire to play it again for awhile. Without the old map that I loved, I am just not interested. If there were two maps, then maybe I would learn to love this new one over time. But forcing it on me just makes me want to stay away until my favorite locations are back.
- WHAT did Respawn do to the guns and attachments! I thought the game was pretty fairly balanced before.... but now they have changed things that didn’t need changing. R99 was also super powerful, but really only at close range. Disrupter rounds were a little OP, but that could have been solved by making them a legendary attachment like you did with the skullpiercer (which was also removed when it really didn’t need to be). The new hop ups are neat enough, as they make weapons a little more versatile, but that doesn’t really matter given the extreme focus on snipers and he totally OP spartan laser that was implemented (yes that’s a halo reference). The charge rifle isn’t a gun I needed. All I want for new weapons is some basic guns.... you know like sub machine guns and pistols and shotguns. I don’t need a new wild and exotic energy weapon every season.
- the battle pass is fine... but like I thought with both of the previous battle passes, I wish I could get more legendary apex packs rather than getting a predetermined legendary skin at 4 points in the pass. The fun of having legend skins is having those that are different from others, but anyone who completes the battle pass will have the same skins as everyone else.
- lastly, I’m still finding most aspects of the shop to be overpriced and unexciting. Meanwhile, I have about 200k legend tokens that are useless unless I first spend $20 on a gun skin.
Ultimately, I was very excited for season 3 to start. But now I’m mostly just disappointed. I don’t know why so many dramatic changes had to be made after the game was finally back on track from all of the issues that has cropped up over the summer. I’m really not excited to come home and play the game now. My recommendation for Respawn.... reset the guns and hop ups to their pre- season 3 status, then add the new hop ups, and bring back kings canyon. Also, fix your ridiculous ring that moves even faster on this crappy giant bum map.
