Can you introduce a penalty for leaving game before squad elimination?

A prperp report system and penalty for leaving should be a given in a game where you're forced to play in squads. Anything else is just dumb or lazy.

They need to fix the constant crashing before they can implement punishment for being afk. I couldn't finish 1/3 games due tot crash and believe me Ive done everything tot try and fix it.

Best to do so after they sort the bugs that just drop players for no reason or even split up parties. My party have been separated after readying to have one of us put on another team while the other two are put on with a randomer. Plus the annoying "Out of sync with server" error is a pain in the rear.

After over a week of play, I understand one acceptable reason to leave before elimination, in a co-operative squad, that's when your tags have timed out and you can no longer be revived.

I play with 5 people regularly, 3 different countries, we have gotten connection error in home screen or when coming out of games but never during games with them.

Here it would also make more sense if you were forced to rejoin that game  in that squad, when reconnected, until it's eliminated.

But no, you just hop into your next game

I feel like a harsh penalty for leaving would be pretty bad in cases of waiting to be respawned or revived. I have had multiple matches where I died and then my respawn banner is outside of the ring or it's a battle going on and leaving me behind is a better option where my team wouldn't be able to get it without risks to themselves, and it situations like those I would rather leave than stick around and watch the game unless I see we are close to winning. I want to play the game not spectate when I am basically already out of the match.

First they need to add a rejoin button, i've been kicked too many times.

But otherwise, yea we definitely need some kind of penalty system.

This is a great idea, but it shouldn't apply when you have no chance of respawning.

I think the penalty should become less severe depending on the conditions of the game when leaving:

VERY HIGH PENALTY

• The players are still choosing characters, or haven't dropped yet
• Any time before 30 seconds after landing

HIGH PENALTY

• Your character is still alive or revivable, and both of your teammates are still alive or revivable
• Your character is still alive, and both of your teammates are still alive, revivable, or their banner has not expired or has been recovered
• Your character has died but your banner has not expired or has been recovered

MEDIUM PENALTY

• One of your teammates has died and their banner has expired

NO PENALTY

• Both of your teammates have died and their banners have expired
• You have died and your banner has expired
• You are still in the lobby screen and have clicked the play button, but haven't been matched to a team yet
• Your squad is eliminated (obviously)
