Caustic needs nerfed again.

Tell me you're joking. How are you supposed to nerf a character that's played by 0.5% of the meta?

First, let's nerf this sick movement, which is so prevalent in this game, and which even Caustic, Gibby, or NewCastle can't defend against. First look at Valk, Horizon or Sparrow, and only then write such topics.

Video I guess sums up your in game decision making, skill and especially comms in game.

I would bet my money on that some of this great 3stack that just wiped 2 squads got shot while heads and toes in lootboxes :D

Also if you had Wattson Gen up I would assume Caustic ult should have been destroyed by it -> either Ult actually was not on you and you just walked into gas-fight / panicked or there is major bug in game where Wattson ult is not destroying Caustic ult nade.

Caustic still is overall average at best, gas finally hits decently for people to double-check if they want to walk in and fight, yet when it is 2v3 or 1v3 I always still go straight in as after removal of slow effect and making gas more transparent, fighting in it for a short time is still very viable tactics. Slow effect needs to be returned! And then Caustic can be again relevant.

Nowadays people play him what I feel for fun more so than for competitive reasons. I can hardly imagine besides Newcastle that you can play someone defensive minded - Rampart, Wattson, Catalyst, Gibi, even Bang is sort of irrelevant.

Wattson's ult did not destroy Caustics ult. I said to my team "Guys another team." We were still healing up from the 2 previous teams we wiped and Gibby threw down his tactical as we continued to heal so we could fight it as a team. We couldn't exit the building because it was small and Caustic already threw one gas trap down which I shot immediately. After destroying Caustics first trap, Gibby's tactical breaks and 3 more caustic traps are thrown. We couldn't even see the caustic traps and some how they were still doing damage. When we tried to leave 2 people shot at us from the left door and 1 person shot from the right door. We quite literally had no options but to try to out heal the Caustic damage, but we didn't have enough time to even take 1 syringe. My entire team died at the same time to gas trap damage. You can see we try to take a few shots but kept getting forced back into the corner. It was either shoot and die to caustic traps, or don't shoot, try to heal and die from them pushing us.

Welcome to the game, kid. That is how you're supposed to play Caustic. Nothing Strange here, remember when the traps were indestructible after you activate them, yeah, we need to bring those back. Considering his nerf, they already nerfed him hard recently.

3rd party is always part of the risk to take into account in games like Apex and that's why there are things like game awareness and recon legends.

Stuff happens and you are not suppose to win every game, as it is known / simple math = 20 squads = win probability should be around 5% aka one in 20 games, clearly this was not one for you.

As for Caustic - clearly traps just added to the insult / dying to gas is ego damaging :D but bigger problem based on the info provided was positioning and inability to leave the house.

As for Wattson ult -> support ticket should solve that, still quite sure it should have delt with ult if thrown into the range as it intercepts fuse queue and bang smoke and what not.

Never the less cba for me only issue in game were hackers in higher ranks, still is and clearly still will be and adding to that now new matchmaking where Preds can feast on Plat or even Gold players. = Valorant is my go to atm, rip Apex :)

I went from Valorant to Apex lol. I used to drop 40-50 bombs on Reyna, but yk when your teammates can't follow a simple plan it feels impossible to win. If you don't 4-5 stack ranked ur pretty much fried depending on your teammates.

Yeah but same is true in Apex. Honestly I feel like in lower ranks (<Gold for sure) Valorant is "easier" / more satisfying because you actually can even do super rare 1v5, while in Apex even at lower Elo 1v3 is close to impossible.

Plus at this point I guess I enjoy the facts:

1. there are not so many cheaters around / every game I do not face cheaters but actually opponents give or take at my level
2. people want to teamwork in like 1 in 3-5 games vs Apex = basically never
3. people can't drop fragment with 10 other teams and insta-die, each game in Valorant does take at least 30 min of "quality" gameplay even if someone is trolling vs Apex where you are faced with decision rat or get major negatives after <1 min of a game start
4. Valorant pushes me to work on mechanics, raw aim more than Apex as in Apex even in Diamond lobbies people are not very smart and in many cases you can outsmart them and win fights just because of that vs outaiming them, in Valorant this feels less possible. Apex did not push / motivate me to aimtrain basically for 5000+h, I was just doing well (Diamond+) without it, Valorant in turn made me to make changes basically after 100h of gameplay and it now benefits both games and will benefit many more

p.s. given original post and comment about 40-50 bombs on Reyna - yeah, these two kinda fit together and it is not a compliment. My suggestion - take a look at your ego, goals, values in FPS team game and adjust to be a better player / teammate vs posting these type of posts or comments about 40-50 kill games in Valorant. For experienced players like me it just shows how immature you are despite possible good aiming mechanics.

Oh I'm sorry if it came off differently. I wasn't trying to brag or be immature. I was just trying to connect with you or like make conversation idk. I just found it interesting that you switched from apex to valorant when I switched from Valorant to Apex.

I also am very kind to all of my teammates, I used to rage a lot but spent a lot of time working on myself to not be that way anymore. I mostly play support characters so I can help my teammates, but in Valorant I gave up on support and played Reyna as an attempt to be able to clutch on my own. It was very frustrating with Valorant ranked because unless you had a 3-5 stack most likely the team wouldn't agree to thought out plans.  Yes, I was 40-50 bombing but I wasn't being kill greedy I was sitting on site letting the other team push us so we could keep the advantage; When we attacked I always went in first because it was my job as a duelist. 

I have died multiple times to Caustic in variety of different ways, but not once have I had a enjoyable "fair" death to him, so I decided to finally make a complain on it. It just feels repetitive when I get 6 gas traps and a caustic ult on me in end game with no escape unless I go out of position and get sniped. You can say it's bad positioning but Caustic just gets to throw gas traps on me left and right and they do damage even when I don't see them. Not to mention every time I manage to actually see the Caustic I end up killing him easily. 

With Apex teamwork aspect it is much harder to find someone that is willing to do teamwork, but I never solo queue. If there is someone who isn't listening to me and my teammate they end up dropping 10-12 kills and we win. I'm not saying Valorant or Apex is better, I love them both. Valorant was my favorite game for years. In my opinion Apex is more rewarding, the kills seem more difficult, and you feel rewarded when you finish an entire squad. Apex feels more rewarding for me atm.

Still dropping 40-50 if that is true kinda shows your mentality still. I think I have never seen 50 kills and really maybe a few 40 kills in ranked even when I play with / vs blunt cheater in ranked in Valorant. With such advantage game probably lasts around 20 rounds at best = to do 40 you need 2+ kills per round, to do 50 you need closer to 3 kills which is basically 1 man army type of stuff. I assume you were lying or talking about unranked = Valorant pubs where 99% don't care just run around running and gunning.

As for Apex discussion and Caustic = complaining about easily avoidable situation is kinda pointless. Not sure if you have been around long enough and experienced say initial version of Seer (I guess season 9 or there about), Octane+Rev ult combo, Crpyto ult + massive push combo, no recoil havoc season, in a way current Valk and gems of Respawn of recent years: Ballistic + Ash + Alter and Support + gold knockdowns era. Those were things to complain about because you had NO counter :) especially when combined with hacks.

Caustic... I mean I personally play him for fun, it is fun to make players like you sound to panic, suffocate them knowing they will rage in the same way you did here. But at the same time I know that good players will just annihilate me with better legends as Caustic is far form meta atm.
