Caustic nerf to fart gas

Wow I can't believe that respawn pulled this on one of the deadliest legend.  All because everyone complained about his gas. What I'm talking about is my dear legend Caustic, the man with the gassy plan. At one point his gas was a force to be reckoned with once his gas sprayed you got out quick or it was curtains for you. Not I see players charging full speed into the gas because he has been reduced to nothing more than a FIFTY CENT STINK BOMB. This is an insult to Caustic especially with the town take over of his that's planed to be active soon. Pleasd go back to the deadly smoke we all feared yo breathe in.

    @Lygerk_p Honestly just nerf his camping and make him more aggressive/support. Undo most/all nerfs then make his gas traps only work like 45-60 seconds before deactivating to reduce his camping. Sounds crazy but i played Caustic almost always aggressively from Season 2-6 and it worked wonders till the nerfs so its definitely possible to rework him in a way that benefits everyone.

    I dont think that Respawn mainly nerfed him because he was too OP, but rather that his kit disrupted  the "flow" of the game. Some houses could be held almost forever with Caustic which isnt good for the game, i.e its not good to have a champion that literally can make a pushing team having to abandon the push, choosing NOT to fight only because the enemy team has a certain legend in the comp.  Because thats what happened in Diamond + ranked games. If my premade squad saw that a team was camping inside a building with a Caustic and maybe also a Watson, we always choose to turn around and not push, simply because the risk was not worth the reward (especially due to third parties that would arrive if we started to fight)

    And the actual nerf on the gas was actually totally called for. Before, a Caustic at a certain skill would 100/100 times win vs any other player at the exact same skill level IF the fight took place in the gas. Slow + highlighted enemy + blurred vision for the enemy + dmg tick was just not balance.. All they did was to remove the blurred vision for the enemy so that the Caustic still actually had to win a 1v1 inside the gas when the enemy is able to shoot back.

    @BigBlackCaustic I'm mainly speaking on the fact that now they stroll through the nox ult like they smelling a cheep fart bomb it doesn't do not near enough damage as it used to where if you got caught you had to get out quick a few seconds is all it took. Now it takes longer, does less damage and, I thought it was only teammates who could see through your gas? I've been in the opposite end of a caustic ultimate and I could se as clear as caustic, and I was play as mirage at that game.

    As far as I know, the only nerf he got was that enemies dont get blurred vision by the gas. They even increased the damage tick a bit to compensate. So the only real difference now from then is that people actually can fight back and just like I said; I think its exactly thats why they changed the gas. It isnt good for a game that a legend has an ability that will make enemies run the other way only because its impossible to fight him. Isnt that kinda reasonable in a competitive PvP? Caustic is already one of few champions that has an ability that almost immediately will start do considerable dmg and slow by just clicking on the enemy (ult)

    then what about Wattson? Well, I dont like where this discussion is going since Caustic and Wattsons kit are totally different but in my opinion does Watson kit not have the same bad effect on the game as Caustic as I speculated were the reason for the rework. There are way more strategies to tackle a camping Watson.

    @JrWhiteFace Wattson is way easier to fight against, caustic’s gas is a force to be reckoned with... assuming the caustic user is good theres usually enough gas that someone can’t get anywhere near the entrance/exit without recieving damage while a wattson on the other hand you just go up to their door and shoot at an angle to destroy the fences in front of the door (fuses tactical destroys them instantly too while fuses tactical would set off caustic’s gas traps allowing him more time to defend/heal)

    Once you destroy wattson’s pylon her fences are useless, they have maybe 10 hp if they are lucky... thats the thing caustic’s gas traps are active for so many seconds after being triggerred while wattsons you go through and after getting zapped the enemy just instantly destroys them in most cases
