I think its fine how it is. The gas slows you and deals damage DIRECTLY to you're HEALTH, straight through armour.
You cant rely on your traps alone to kill people. As a caustic you can see through your gas and walk quicker through them, you should be in there gunning them down too. if youre leaving your gas on its own its not going to do much. its more than a damaging trap it totally disorients people and blocks them off from being so aggressive. they still may push but they will be taking alot of negative effects and most likely lose the battle if you play it well.
- Here are the buffs he needs: Increase radius (especially vertically), make his ult quicker to throw: Allow me to throw it immediately after pulling it out. Make his gas traps triggerable just a tiny bit earlier than current. Make each device apply separate damage ticks (each individual trap + ult maxing out at 4 separate damage ticks if in all radiuses). Finally, make his passive a limited range aura. That way, squadmates that follow me in are just as deadly.
