The thing is 99% of the time ex-Predators will regain their position, which is exactly why I believe they should be in an entire separate system.
How is it a good SBMM if you’re being placed with predators who are climbing the ranks, when you know as well as I do, you’d never face them under any circumstances, because most normal players aren’t skilled enough to reach predator, but the issue with it is, you can have a decent game then all a sudden you get three man rushed, wham bam, thank you ma’am without a single chance.
spectate to fine it’s a triple stack predator team basically, all have 3 pred badges etc.
If anyone thinks this rank system works when those players should be in a whole different category/league and not with normal players.
if you got pred last season, why should you be allowed to grind through all the lesser skilled players?
I also think there is no middle ground for ranked right now. I enjoy it up till diamond. I reached diamond in 70games and 2,56KD while only soloQ
After that it's basically unplayable. Threestacks jumping on me with shotguns, calling out every bit of damage they do.... just not fun.
Wish it was different. I will not bang my head into wall just to hit masters. It's useless if i don't enjoy it.

Now if personally, if this happens your entry fee should be like knocked down to accommodate the lobby.

Just to further clarify, my gripe with said system. The whole point of ranked is to establish skill and be an even ground.
I’m sorry but I’d be extremely annoyed as a competing player for the number 1 spot to find out, the current players are getting extremely easy lobbies of Majority of Gold, Plat and Diamond players.
I got the recording of said footage because it was back to back, Not once but twice. So could find the exact distribution.
However my point still stands, Predators should not be in the same lobby as anyone Diamond or below.Personally previous Predators and Masters should be in their own category and if the lobby can’t be filled, the point system should automatically adjust accordingly.
Heck even if the lobbies had to be cross server, or cross platform to fill them, that should be priority over offering them free kills.

And here's from where your disappointment springs. This is most emphatically not the point of a ranking system. The system exists to provide a grind. The ideal matches, players evenly matched, is something the system should only provide at the end of the season for the most skilled players, and earlier in the season according to how far down the ladder you are.
Unfortunately people begin to play on secondaries in direct relation to how fast they finish their grind, or how frustrated they get with rank-lock, or with the constant barrage of OTHER players using secondaries to cheat the matchmaker. And before you know it the matchmaker is matching an OCEAN of players who are far more interested in easy matches than they are in playing against players of similar skill. SBMM became utterly pointless twenty years ago when people first figured out that if you don't like what it's telling you then you just manipulate it in order to screw other people by getting matches easier than those you should really be in. And that is now the de facto standard in every sbmm shooter I've ever played. This is why you're being pub stomped in every match.
