Changes To Ranked

I have to disagree. 

Why treat one rank differently?

The current de-ranking should continue to be used across the board as this is fair enough. 

Lowering the RP thresholds for each rank would decrease the grind time and increase the amount of plat players while still allowing for those players that make plat but just cant seem to perform consistently to stay in plat to be demoted to where they belong.

Because as soon as you hit platinum you’re vsing predators, and if you’re vsing preds shouldn’t you be in masters or diamond?? Preds are dropping people from play to gold and play is almost impossible to get out of bc of deranking

@Elysian_Sky  and what is the difference for Rookies that have to constantly ply vs Silvers or Golds and can not seem to rank up. Or Golds that are trying to get to plat but constantly get rookie or Bronze players for teammates.

Part of the solution is as I suggested in my previous post here. The other part would be a part of MM.

Rookie players can only play with or vs other Rookie's and Bronze.

Bronze can play with or vs Rookie, Bronze and Silver.

Silver can play with or vs Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Gold can play with or vs Silver, Gold and Plat.

Plat can play with or vs Gold, Plat or Diamond.

Diamond can play with or vs Plat, Diamond or Master/Pred.

Master's/Preds can play with Diamond or Master's/Pred.

This would seem to me to fix the issue for all. The only problem I foresee is that Diamond (possibly Plat) rank and above will have longer wait times for MM because there just are not really all that many of them. 

That would work, if preds weren’t pushing plats back to gold 

Not only that it would provide a safer place for rookies to learn ranked play instead of pitting them vs Silver or Gold ranked players. 

I feel bad (for them and me) when I eliminate a true Rookie player.

It will get better in second half of split, but I forgot its Worlds edge map so it maybe wont. :D

I have nothing against this ranked system anymore, it was just Storm point why I couldnt have fun playing it last season.

Yeah I would vote to revert deranking in all ranks, once you hit rank you should stay. I remember how I was stucked in Diamond 4 in S12 and after week I started climbing up because I got used to higher skill players and found my way how to play against them which will take longer for anyone who cant stop deranking...

Also considering 97% of players can’t get out of gold, not really a clear indication of skill if preds are pushing people back from plat to gold 

which also makes plat lobbies super empty and hard to find, when you do find a lobby you get sucked on by preds, and at most it should be vsing masters 

so capping the derank for half of the split stops this 

Its been rough down here in bronze too. cant play a single match without a gold 2 smoking my whole squad.
