Wait, you got a Lifeline that just stood there and died? My Lifelines can't stay put for than one second without rushing the nearest enemy team without warning and ends up dying that way. As to your point about the new ranked system, it was a big change so it has big positives but also big negatives for certain people. Personally, I love the new system's harshness. The new Ranked Point modifier nullifies obnoxious players that like dropping hot as a dice roll for quick points and then just ratting the rest of the match like this is a Five Nights at Freddy's game. The increase in entry cost per tier also vastly stretches out the ranked skill spectrum. Now, rank tiers actually mean something since each subsequent tier increases in cost.

Yes, these changes mean that mediocre or worse players are going to have an even tougher time moving up, BUT that means they're not capable of scraping by through the lower tiers on dumb luck. Any idiot could previously get to Gold by hitting 1/100 shots and getting an assist point for it, and then get carried to the placement points, but what happened when bad players got to Gold? They brick-walled at Gold IV and then served as target dummies and wastes of player slots for better players that queued into them. Now, if players have to put in more work to so much as get to the next tier.

@SugaryJuice The concept is solid, the execution of it is not. That's basically where my problem with it lies.

I also feel like the starting rankings for higher tiers were set to low. I was a Plat IV set to be a Bronze II. Based on how derankings have been going for each season, this would put a Diamond IV player at Silver II, and Master players at Gold II, with Preds being either at Gold II as well or Plat II (my understanding is that Masters and Preds are the same rank, just Preds are the top players).

That seems a bit too sweaty, considering I did run into a Gold IV Masters player.

Also, yes... that is correct. My Lifeline random just looked at Fuse like "why you crawling?" Most of the Lifelines I get do not revive, and I had gotten a few that would just run off and would only use their health drone for themselves.

  I am too lazy to read everything whats been said here but I only want to point out one thing that is crucial to accept the new ranked system which is: the old ranked system was totally broken in terms of how a players actual skill correlated to that players rank. This means that we have to totally forget what rank we managed to reach in the old system, because that is irrelevant in this new system.
  I have always been a Diamond player, usually going up and down from mid Diamond3 to mid Diamond 4 but two (or was it three?) splits ago, I got together with two other "diamond3+" players and spent an entire split tryharding like crazy and managed to get Master... So you can say, I am an "ex-master" in the old system.. But in the new system, I am struggling in mid Platinum. So perhaps "old" Master hardstuck 10.000 RP is equivalent to mid Platinum in the new system. Perhaps the "new" Diamond is ex-predators or high Masters? Thats where we all have to drop our ego and just forget what rank we was before.. Like I said; thats irrelevant.
  Ive read so many "But I was platinum before and now I cant get out of Gold. The new system is broken and its my teammates and loot RNGs fault waah wah" but none of them have considered that perhaps gold now is their peak rank and its nothing wrong with that. New system, new conditions. Look at games like LoL. There are millions of players who plays every day with 2000h of Lol who NEVER will get out of Gold....Why should this not be the case in Apex too?
  And people say that the new system to climb requires premades and this is true but this was also true in the old system; the only difference is that the level when your "solo hardstuck rank" is now happens earlier than before.. Like I already said; in the old system; my "solo hardstuck rank" was Diamond3/4 but with premades, I could reach Master. In the new system, my solo hardstuck rank is somewhere around Plat4 (this split , I played totally solo from Bronze4 to Gold2 with 2 K/D) and I dunno yet where my "premade hardstuck rank" will be; perhaps Plat 2? Diamond4?

    @Balladalidila Rank level cap should be raised and the matchmaking should get reworked then. I keep getting below level 20 teammates VS silver and gold players sporting plat, diamonds, and master badges, premade teams, and those with 20 kills, 4k bombs, etc.
