Contradicting information about if there will be a split or not in ranked arenas

@Piraat1995 I do believe and maybe a CM can correct me if im wrong but there are no splits with arena due to the point system being much different. In br you can earn up to around 280 rp per game. To where arena your getting around 12 rp per game. If there was a split it would be impossible to reach certain ranks with the point system in place.

Makes sense but ea said this in the patch notes of season 11.
"We learned a lot from the first season of Ranked arenas and are eager to bring you some improvements:
Arenas Ranked now has 2 splits, similar to Ranked Battle Royale"
Yet it is unknown when it will happen if it will at all since in game info says once a season?
