Cross-Progression Still Broken After 2 Years – No Support Resolution

I've been waiting for over two years to transfer my Apex Legends content from PS5 to PC via cross-progression, but I never got the pop-up again. My accounts have always been linked and never unlinked, yet EA Support keeps telling me I "already used" the feature; even though my progress and $700+ worth of skins are still stuck on PS5.

Support refuses to manually review my case or offer a real solution. They just say, “Maybe in the future.” This is unacceptable. Many players have reported the same issue, and EA still hasn’t fixed it.

I WANT ALL MY SKINS, BADGES, TRAILS, KILLS, CHARACTERS, POINTS. EVERYTHING TRANSFERRED TO PC!

@EA @EAHelp, when will this actually be resolved? If cross-progression is a one-time thing, then why wasn’t it properly rolled out to everyone? If there’s a way to trigger the pop-up again, why won’t support help us do it?

Anyone else still dealing with this? Let’s get EA to acknowledge and fix this.

  • Hey ETERNALESTE,

The issue in this case is not with cross progression, but unlinking a platform from its EA account.

Cross Progression does not allow you to transfer anything between different accounts. Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. Unlinking any of these platforms can cause progress to be lost, even if you later re-link the accounts.

If you're missing anything, re-linking the original platforms to their original EA account(s) would be the only way to try recovering access, though that won't always be possible.

If you're just trying to have content transferred from one account to another, that was never the purpose of cross progression and is not something we're able to provide either, sorry. Hopefully this clarifies things a bit, feel free to check through the information here for more details as well!

    1. This issue has never been "Solved"
    2. The account was never unlinked—every step was correctly followed. The issue is that the cross-progression message never appeared again.

It’s possible that when it finally showed up, I accidentally closed it, as many players instinctively do when dismissing pop-ups during gameplay. Due to your poor UX design, this message does not reappear, leaving players permanently locked out of their progress.

I have $750+ in skins and over 8000 hours of gameplay with high ranks, and I want them transferred to my PC as cross-progression was intended. What solution can you offer to fix this? Because telling me to just accept this loss is unacceptable.

Your PSN account was unlinked from this EA account back in 2023, before Cross Progression went into effect.

The Cross Progression message would only have ever appeared once, so when you say it never appeared again, that would be normal.

Cross Progression was never intended for you to be able to transfer content if it began on separate EA accounts. There is no way to transfer your content between separate accounts, sorry.

Yes and it had also been relinked before Cross Progression went into effect.
This wasn't two seperate EA accounts, they both had the same email with EA.
Because of your poor UX design, I've had this issue and it's never been resolved and doesn't seem like it will ever be.

No other account is linked with that EA account, all of those skins are stuck on console and I can't access them, while all these other people are able to transfer without problem. Just because I unlinked and relinked back before this became a thing?

What if I disconnect and reconnect? No, that won't work will it...
Your EA support team members all tell me the same thing. To sit around and wait for a new message to arrive, or don't worry, you will get the message again in the future for cross-progression to link again.

This is ridiculous and EA support has been the worst out of any company I've dealt with in my gaming career.

Unfortunately, unlinking can permanently affect an account even if you later re-link.

I'm afraid if an advisor told you a new message would appear in the future, they're misunderstanding Cross Progression as well. Cross Progression has long since been active for all accounts - the prompt will not pop up again.
