You'll see there is a note:
Cross-progression will not be supported.
I'd assume this will not change in the future, but boy, I hope so.
@CompleatBeet Maybe that means that for now, you can cross play, but won't be able to cross progress in the patch. So like "this will not be supported... in this update".
If it was never gunna be supported, they could of said: "Cross-progression will never be supported", "There won't be any plans for Cross-progression", etc.
