Turning off crossplay takes too long right now. Though that may change.
But so far, I've found as as PS4 player that a lot of people from other consoles...or systems, aren't playing that well at all. So...I've ended up dumping like 80% of my games early from atrocious team mates, but my win ratio is still the same, maybe better.

Cross-play is between consoles. If you invite a PC player to your lobby, You get moved to PC servers. You're not playing in PC lobbies if your by your self on consoles, there is icons next to each players name.
Also again I've stated this before. MANY people on PC play with a controller vs mouse & keyboard. I played with one for over a year. This over fake myth of mouse & keybaord just better is getting old. So please stop spreading these fake lies about the device.
Most common mouse & keybaord players suck. I can say that 100%. I can understand if someone just plays on consoles and hears these over used words 'Mouse & keybaord = better", but it's not like that at all.
Also another fake myth, All PC gamers run above 60 FPS. Most Personal computers are just that, personal. One thing I noticed when playing Apex Legends on PC for over a year was most play on laptops.
You will get someone with some high end GPU, but still have bad setings for gameplay. I will say that most hardcore players do turn off everything to gain more FPS, but who really wouldn't in a competitive shooter? Only reason why console players don't is because they can't or they would.
So, yes I'm with you on cross-play sucks, but for different reasons, as I myself think it's buggy and added pooly with very bad servers (like every patch in teh history of Apex Legends). You would expect more for a huge compnay like EA.
Haha its so funny how so many console players actually have a genuine worse gaming experience based on an incorrect assumption that they share lobbies with PC player, when the truth is they only share it with other console players =) Just proves how preconceived bias works.. Its exactly the same when it comes to hacking- and SBMM related issues. People read on this forum that "there are 40% hackers" or "60% Diamonds to Predators" in your lobby and suddenly they actually experience that to be true 😃
I have to disagree. Just the simplicity of pressing vs pushing an object is more then enough to prove this Myth to be true. Mouse and keyboard players just have better mobility and aiming compared to controller.
Of course, there's bad mouse and keyboard players. But in platinum 3 there's far less bad mouse and keyboard players then you would find in casual. Point being; people on console should have the option to, at least in ranked where competitive play is held and is meant to be a test of a person's skill against EQUAL to his own (hence the fairness of a battle royal, you never know who might win), turn off cross play.
This should incluse console players who have pc players in their lobby. No exceptions. Then, and only then, do I think that crossplay would be accepted by the community as a whole
crossplay is on for everyone and it should be an option. Similar to Rocket League. I turn it off on privacy settings on xbox but then sometimes I can't even get a game. I think crossplay is fine but the option to turn it off should be there. Just bad design by Respawn. I hope they take this suggestion because PC gamers have an unfair advantage, period. Just a fact and I have plenty of pc player friends and though they argue it, they know. We can prove it and I have.
Its killing for PC more as we can not turn it off. Lets be honest here the values for aim assist on console is closer to aimbot (1.0) values (0.6 Console) then raw input values (0.0) while pc controller is (0.4).. At close range console players just win because their hand is held... But truth be told at long ranges PC is better but this game is mostly close range combat and the AMOUNT of squads in diamond and above where they have a console Gibby with a SMG + shotgun or a spitfire with a 3x is insane.
Its beyond me why PC has no option to turn it off as this is not a competitive game anymore as there is no level playing field anymore.
And then ofcourse you also have the remapping making your system think you are using a controller while using K&M having best of both worlds or people using devices like the Cronus Zen... And ontop of that just all the cheaters and hackers and yup the game is just awefull now.
