To be honest, I really do enjoy playing Crypto and I main him.I feels like Crypto can have much significant merit at World Edge map if they just add tree into it. At King Canyon, I can easily conceal the drone around the tree to scanned for the enemies while still engaging the enemy but the same cannot be said about World Edge.Adding a tree and making the drone silence while stationary is more than enough for Crypto. The enemy would still be alert of drone presence, but it would be much harder to track and destroy the drone under such a circumstances unless they have bloodhound.

@StarMystro Well, adding more tree, holes n blind spot whereby the drone can stay well hidden is part of the approach of buffing Crypto and make it one of the few legend whereby player have to play smart with it rather than just pushing aggressively.Another alternative is to have the detected enemy being detected by other enemy squad that is within 10-20 meter range, this is to encourage both enemy squad to fight each other while creating the necessary space for Crypto and his allies to recover or reposition to engage multiple squad at same time.If this alternative is a No, then perhaps enable a features that allowed crypto to control drone via H button to locked a door for 5 seconds, granting Crypto the necessary space to evade legend with high mobility such as Octane.I prefer a changes that encourage Crypto to fully utilise the environment to his advantage. I have seens a lot of suggestion regarding it, but most of the so called buff doesn't seems to fit his lore and style.As someone whose motto is "I always ready", he should be smart enough to know the area and what opponent he is facing.To be honest, King Canyon tree provide significant advantage to Crypto that I basically have close to 10% winrate at King Canyon. At World Edge, I barely able to hold the winrate at 4% due to the lack of tree.Plant tree, save Crypto. Errr.. buff Crypto.

I agree with many of your words. Crypto isn't a very aggressive Legend and shouldn't be treated as one. I like your idea of "locking doors"; And having an environment that can compliment Crypto's playstyle (along with other Legends too), can be a big help.I thank you for your expressions and time.

@StarMystroTo be honest, I don't think other legend need any improvement in the environment to take advantage out of it with the exception of Crypto & Loba.For Loba, they can just basically design a layout with dead end with a small frame of window, hole and etc that allowed Loba to throw her jump drive. This allowed her to loose her pursuer while driving the pursuer to corner for an easy kill by another enemy squad, basically bait the enemies to suicide spot.I manage to do that once by baiting 3 enemies into a room at Bunker area in King Canyon map, they basically dies slowly inside the room when another caustic throw the gas trap to sealed the only entrance. :D

@Hilshire12 Crypto already have many drawnback at current stats, the drone have a very long cooldown upon destroy, very fragile to bullet and the ultimate is render useless if the drone is destroy.Not to mention that legend such as bloodhound and certain sight can easily unveil a well hidden drone.It also have strong reliance on using environment to conceal itself, map such as World Edge have literally 0 cover for it making the drone particularly pointless as it would be destroy in a second.This is more than enough reason why Crypto usage by the community is below 2%, it doesn't need additional drawback such as running out of fuel or taking environmental damage.Even you yourself admit you don't play it.

Crypto is the only Legend I don't play as he's just unfun to play his drone is just annoying it should only have an active ping so unless he's connected to it and actually pushes a button the same as bloodhound scan making the drone silent it has thrusters it will never be silent as it has the ability to scan through walls it should not be able to open doors it should also take environmental damage so if you run it into a tree it takes damage it should also have a maximum deployment time as it will require refueling leave it deployed too long and it runs out of fuel and crashes the controls for the drone and also a mess

Ahh @Hilshire12 You gotta let yourself get in the brain of Crypto though! It's not a Legend for everyone, that much is true. His drone requires extra handling on the player's part, but the payoff can be extraordinary. Knowing the enemies exact location -and in real-time too!- is a very powerful tool in most video games I've played. I'm sure you can relate? So it's gotta have some kind of drawback -like the sounds the Drone makes- as you mentioned.
And being a Surveillance Expert, Crypto can guard -or monitor an area, such as a flank, by leaving his Drone carefully in the environment; So it helps having no timer on this ability, as it already can be shot down and un-usable for a duration.

@BBY_YOD4 I'll take a guess that you've seen the many players who just throw his E.M.P. at a group of enemies "without" a plan? Or "encircle" a team only to get shot down? Ahh it certainly helps to have the Drone already in place, then Crypto can attack as well- while reaping the benefits of seeing enemies through walls.

@StarMystro I would rather have the drone turn into silence mode if it remain stationary for 10 seconds and doesn't alert the enemies unless the enemies is Crypto legend as well.

Turning it into an excellent CCTV to cover flank.
