I think Crypto is fine, but i would like some quality changes:
1. When drone spots someone, and Crypto is looking in opposing direction, there should be a small arrow on the edge of the screen to tell you, in which side to rotate.
Other players can have it too.
2. When you are in drone view, you should be able to see the beacon icon. You see it as Crypto, but when you log in into the drone, you won't see it. You need to ping it first. I often have problem to find it. Perhaps it is a minor issue, but it would make playing as crypto more comfortable.
3. Small increase of neurolink's range - up to 35-40 meters.
I played him a lot(personal opinion, above 1100 games, 93 wins), and with microphone and good team it can be OP. It just isn't rambo and a character as which you "W-key everything you see" .
That's why people don't play him in my opinion, but that doesn't mean its bad.
I also have a Crypto Rework suggestion which I have been thinking of for a while now.

being undetectedable to scans (to a certain extent because that ability sounds very op)
Tactical:
Crypto can deploy his drone by throw throwing it out like an arc star and he can activate it mid-air along the path thrown like with loba's tactical.
