@BigBlackCausticNa Man! I am not accusing Respawn of such "undermining". I feel that they lack a bit of in depth research regarding the real cultural scenarios. I can challenge, do same in China with a character half-japanese, half-chinese, Chinese Government itself will ban the game before even people will quit. Why? Because Japan attacked China and brutalized it.in WWII So, if you can cut out voice lines, just because of it being "sensitive", You can be sensitive enough to do in depth research culturally before introducing a character.
@INVINCIBLE_1FI think it has to do with chinese government and parts of its culture being actually racist rather than the history of these countries. Take a look at how they discriminate and treat cultures and ethnic minorities that are native to China for centuries atleast for reference. Not to mention China is pretty much looking for things to censor to demonstrate their micro-penises authority.
If you ask me mixed race characters demonstrate that we can get along if we wanted to especially if we look at an individual level rather than historical/cultural, and i believe your mindset doesn't help in any regards. Maybe im biased as a mixed race myself though. If you wanna leave because they had the audacity to include mixed race characters then leave. You have no right to tell anyone what to do.

I have no issues with any of mixed Race characters, but just contrast it with everyone else. It really is unacceptable, any case if it helped you to atleast realize the part of issue, I am thankful.

I never said I want rampart to be one race.. But, about how this experiment of A British-Indian mix was not that perfect as they deemed it to be, due to the history between the two societies. I wanted to know the take of community as well as make people realize how important cultural research aspect of characterisation is.. whether of game, story or novel. Any medium.

@BigBlackCausticI agree with your second paragraph a lot, although I don't personally identify as a racial matter (even though it is quite certainly a secondary factor). I'm a third-culture-kid who has grown up in countries that aren't where my family are technically from. I love the bi-cultural inclusion here because you also have to consider that this is in some futururistic alter-reality and that in the end there's going to be little 'pure'. Even Crypto's cultural style is sourced and not entirely relatable to him in the present. There is this understanding that colonialism is part of both of Rampart's histories, and being upset that there is this acknowledgement doesn't really make sense. It's almost like censorship if you're asking for it to be pulled down, and just because there isn't enough detail at the moment doesn't mean there's not going to be any later.... Love the use of the words unacceptable and 'The Community', really speaks like the 'silent majority' vibe.
I get the issue with it being shocking but in reality you ignore that it's likely going to be the case in the UK where it happens, nothing wrong with picking from the demographic. this is also to the guy who started the thread ofc- 5 years ago
@SkenderaxeWell I wonder as a mixed race person, i assume you are one, you will eat the chewing gum stuck on your shoe?, Make spray paints on walls(i love them personally, so that is a plus) . There are so much more details, But i will be criticized again as racist ;/

Lmao I don't know why you're associating her choice of gum storage to her race. It's part of her character development and cancelling her isn't going to distinguish the idea that she's just a bit of a modder who scraps metal. Sure she's half indian half British but if you're implying that you can associate her lack of hygiene to her race then you have a bit of stereotyping going on. I think you're just overthinking it a little much. It like getting annoyed at the big bulky guy for being gay, or the little white girl for being depressed and mistrusting. They're part of their character and they're all a little difficult to stereotype unless you're the cause to this thinking
