Daily "Thank x teammates" not triggering sometimes.

On several occasions, I've pressed H to thank the team mate and they don't count towards the progress. Other times it works fine. Not sure if maybe its related to a specific type of thank you (only works when they ping a body armor) or something, but i can go a whole match thanking people and get no credit and other times I get it in one match.
