He isn't the only person this is happening too. It happens to me consistently and is especially noticeable with weapons like the longbow or the wingman.
A good example from a recent game. I got a wingman on drop and immediately got engaged upon. I fired back twice, hit a headshot (nice big yellow number) followed by a bodyshot before i got sprayed down by the opponent's r301. So that's at least 120 dmg. Get sent back to lobby and it showed just the 40dmg meaning it totally disregarded the headshot.
this happens with rifles well, but is less noticeable due to the amount of shots fired. I ended up setting the dmg numbers to cumulative to check it and often it'll show that i've done over 100dmg to the target according to the floating numbers, yet back in the lobby it'll show like 60.
i've added a tracert just to show that my ping is fine on every hop and there is no packet loss.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not looking for excuses as to why I suck. I know I suck and my aim is questionable. But it makes it even harder when shots that according to the dmg counter ingame have hit seem to not have hit according to the match stats at the end of the game.
As a sidenote, to show that I believe the match stats is showing what the server actually registered. this has happened in a game where both squad mates died immediately on dropping and as the last one alive i had an smg and sprayed the enemy before getting taken down myself. He was the only enemy I engaged. My dmg counter showed just under a 100 dmg and when I tabbed to spectate him, I hadn't even cracked his white shield, nor did I hear the shield recharge sound in the second or so it took before I was allowed to tab spectate. Go to match stats after and it showed 40 something dmg done.
My pc runs apex just fine and consistently at 144fps (my screen's Hz) unless there's several bang/gib ults and smokes flying at the same time in close vicinity, then it might dip to a 100 (hard to keep an eye on it when all hell is breaking loose)
can someone explain this please both of us on hp i died wraith didin't (i was full hp doesn't matter anyway)
- 6 years ago@Buxku what shields did both you have what you got to look at also.

1. Probably last bullet from both of you land at same time, server record both of them
2.Server need need to decide who die first.
3. Server decide enemy bullet land first (not sure the algorithm).
4. the summary show what are recorded (both last bullet damage from both of you) (bug)
5, Since enemy survive, and they put enemy bullet last.
This's typical bug in concurrent thread & logging. The server at step 4 need to be enhanced to remove your damage since you're already dead by then.
1. If both shot land at same time.
2. I decide one of them land first.
3. Remove shot that land at same time.
