Diamond 3 Lobbies

There's a really poor experience that happens as soon as you hit Diamond 3 in Ranked. You go from playing normal people that play a few hours a day at most to every lobby being vs TSM, Top 50 preds, and sweaty kids that play all day long.

To hit Master now, your team essentially has to be as good as Predators, because that is the lobby you'll be placed in every game.

Does it not make more sense that Masters and Preds should play vs themselves, MAYBE including Diamond 1's? You've got people with 7k RP playing vs #1 Pred at 70k RP.

Diamond 3 being the start of that queue in ranked is really unfortunate for the Diamond players. Realizing this would increase queue time for those at the top, but you are forcing Diamond players to sweat through Predator lobbies to even get into Master. If Diamonds played within their own tier more, there would be more at Master's level because Predators wouldn't be holding them down.

  • @FxPr0 Bro, I have been D3 all season and I am playing Top 50 predators. KIDS BEYOND shadow if a doubt using mods on ps4. I'm talking G7 full auto, flatline full auto *** single fire. 301 with 0 recoil. Not to take away those who train but I have a trained eye I clearly can see who is modding who is not . I have multiple 20 bombs and 4k badges and have been playing since week 1.
  • @FxPr0 If each tier played each other then it would just be too easy..

Think about the queue times too, this would not work. If you expect to make it to master then you must first prove that you are better than previous tiers and worthy of being in master.

The only reason pred players play so well is because they have a constant group with amazing symmetry, sometimes their aim is also flawless, but that does not mean they can't be beat, I've been smashing multiple preds all day these last 48 hours to make it to master (from plat to master in 3 days). (let's also not talk about the strike pack mods some of them use)

The current system makes better sense because you are basically in the top 5% of players. If you made it to diamond then congrats, if you are unable to progress further then you are in the correct tier based upon your skill.

@MoNosDirtyGaming I made it to Predator in S1 and S2. This game isn’t about individual skill, it’s about the team you can find and put together. Sometimes it’s about dodging cheaters and playing EU or Asia so you can avoid TSM and NRG every lobby because of the matchmaking.

Your argument doesn’t make sense that you play versus predators before being there. That’s like saying college players in any sport have to beat professionals before advancing to their level. You beat your tier first and then advance, not have NBA or NFL players beating college level.
  • @FxPr0Apex legends is supposed to be a team based game; so that is correct.

Season 1 and season 2 was easy to reach pred, I made it from Bronze 4 to Diamond 1 in season 1 in the last 7 days of the season, only didn't make it cause I was still busy in real life.

The whole point of being placed with players below and above the skill tier was because the entire lobby would camp, which made ranked boring as hell, nobody would push. Being a season 1 pred player you should already know this. Factor this in with the amount of players playing ranked, and you would be waiting at least 5+ minutes at 2am to find a single lobby, or any lobby at all if you're lucky.
