Do NOT listen to JackFrags

His latest video talks about essentially overhauling a LOT of stuff in Apex which is just bad. Yes some bugs need fixing and MAYBE there could be different game modes allowing different squad sizes (or solos) but all that comes down to player preference.

On the other hand, his idea of balancing like decreasing TTK, nerfing shield recovery and nerfing slow RoF / high damage weaponry such as wingman and peacekeeper is just bad. Having a higher TTK with shields that can be fully refilled allows a more aggressive play and rewards teamplay/sticking together. On the other hand, having a low TTK with shields that would lose a bar whenever fully depleted would reward campers and/or people "sitting the game out" evading fighting at all cost just to fight once at the end. People actively engaging would risk too much for no benefit if their gear, such as shields, could lose durability/effectiveness when damaged/used. This would slow down the gameplay and ends up with the mess we have in bf5 where campers are overly rewarded.

Also, I don't understand why he would want to nerf weapons like the wingman and peacekeeper. Yes they are good in the right hands because, if they miss, the user is punished a LOT more than the higher (like a LOT higher) RoF weapons that also have much bigger magazine capacities. Nerfing them would be stupid.

This is the first BR I'v ever played, all the others either never pleased me aesthetically or the gameplay seemed boring though I'm really enjoying AL so far, I really don't want everything to change thanks to those annoying AF "game changers" such as JackFrags. I don't want Apex to copy other BR games nor become a camping fest. Do not listen to JF.

I totally like how FORTNITE players wants to make this SKILL TIER game some OTHER GARBAGE like Fortnite is. Fortnite isn't ABOUT SKILL it is just a Garbage with big G. Everyone knows that already. We came to play APEX because we like DMG of weapons, how SHIELDS works etc. I just saw first couple of seconds of that guy and scrolled down to comment section and I stopped there. (JackFrags channel). If he is really complaining about shields and that TTK is higher and he isn't able to DO ANYTHING I think he should go back to Fortnite and stop destroying better game. I feel like EPIC GAMES paid these lames to complain through their YT channels with their bought subscribers...
tl;dr: stop changing this unique game to other game we already were able to play (PUBG, Fortnite etc.). We all LOVE this game because devs. made it this way. I hope that they will not change too much stuffs because these kind of stuffs (dmg/ttk) are the reason why this game is so unique and fun to play.

Just looking at the weapon stats, it's very clear that they are OP compared to other equivalent weapons.
I don't care if they nerf them or not, but whenever there is a Wingman or Peacekeeper I will take it over any other non-sniper weapon as they are the only choice = something need rebalancing.

They are likely to nerf the peaceleeper, but seriously they shouldn't and lemme tell you why.

Peacekeeper is basically my main weapon. I'm by no means a shotgun player. In every shooter I'm most likely an SMG'er. The Peacekeeper is a beast of a weapon in the right hands as mentioned above but it requires skill to operate.

Let's say you have the basic peacekeeper. If your aim is off by few inches (of screen), you'll not hit very high. You'll likely get the dreaded fortnite '7dmg' effect. If you stand further than 15 feet (4.5m) you'll likely not get a 1 hit kill even without armor. You'll likely do a 87dmg. By the time you can fire again (if the person was looking at you when you first fired) you'll likely be dead if they have a fast firing weapon. That said, if you miss the next shot you're basically a deer in headlights from a car going 90mph; dead.
With that said, lets say you have the choke and your off by few inches, you basically miss altogether. Only thing is with the choke the dmg is higher when hit directly because of less pallet seperation.

You need dead aim to kill a person with it and you need to be relatively close unless you have the choke.

Peacekeeper 2 shots at about 30 meters with max health and armor.
Damage drop off needs a significant nerf

I'm sorry bu i agree with Jackfrags TTK is way too long and with a nerf i dont think it would be a problem with camping.

I never understood why people want Apex to be similar (in terms of TTK) to other games out there. People like JF complained TTK was too long with bf1 and we got the garbage TTK that is in bf5 which heavily rewards camping. I don't want the same to happen to Apex.

I agree with the Pracekeeper nerf. I just mentioned in another thread that the game is leaning way too much toward people shotgun rushing you for easy kills.
Meanwhile, it takes multiple magazines of other guns to score kills unless you catch someone standing stil or early game with no/low armorl. I’m almost starting to wonder if there’s a point to scout/sniper rifles. All they do is harass but never kill due to low damage, high armor availability, and/or high health/shield regen item availability.
