DONE PLAYING APEX LEGENDS
I’m officially quitting this game. It has put me in such a bad mood because it consistently pairs me with teammates that are either toxic or don’t know what to do in rank. I play with a pre made squa...
Hehe actually, the second point is very contradictory. Because if you hypothetically would be matched with 59 EXACTLY equal players as yourself in all aspects (aim, movement, game sense, competitiveness etc) i.e. what the @jonlouise96 is wishing for, then logically, your win rate would go towards precisely 5% after "many" games. If you dont understand this; you would have 1/20 probability of winning since everyone in the lobby are exactly equally skilled --> 1/20 = 0.05 --> 5%.
This is ofc just a very theoretical scenario but my point is that its fun how so many people think the matchmaking is unfair because they dont win like every five games or so. It is not that hard to understand that in a game of 20 opposing teams, you cant expect to win as many games as in a game of two opposing teams like CS, LoL, Valorant etc.
Hehe my point wasnt to nitpick about exact hypothetical win rate percentages. I just think it was fun when you wrote :
"2. solo queueing does not pair you with players on your caliber at all. Respawn devs programmed this game in order to hold every regular player such as me to a 5% win rate. "
which I interpreted that you first complained that the casual matchmaking didnt use a strict SBMM but instead put players of all skill ranges in the same lobby and in the very next sentence said that this "open" matchmaking held "regular players" at a 5% win rate. I just pointed out that 5% win rate just happen to be the theoretical win rate of "perfectly narrow", i.e "super strict" SBMM. So maybe shouldnt a "regular player" be so disappointed if he has a win rate of approx 5% hrm.
But I guess I agree with you that the solo matchmaking has a tendency to put very well preforming solo players in hotter lobbies the game after a streamroll-game. Dont know if I think this is a bad thing though. I rather have it this way than a strict SBMM also in casual. But thats just my opinion. If I want to tryhard and sweat, then I play ranked.
