EA - You Should Listen/Consider This!
Hello EA,
I truly hope EA staff are going to read this!
You have this Feedback section, so I hope you are going to see this.
1. Even though people understand how things work, it also doesn't mean they are willing to be patient and wait either, especially when problems effect various situations, like we see in the game.
2. You should really consider, given the extreme popularity of this game, to put out a small update every 14 days, even if it's only to address 3-5 small bugs at a time, at least in people's minds it will show them activity and make them feel like something is really being done on a constant basis.
3. In regards to updates every 14 days, it's called Reverse Psychology, it's the same idea, as when a consumer goes to buy something, and wants a discount. Even on a low cost item, of just giving someone a 5%-10% discount makes people feel good, it's not about the size, it's about the concept of simply doing and offering, that is why the 14 day updates!
Do you realize, when you put out updates at the level you are doing, people don't see it as a good thing, they see it as having to wait a long time, and then, when they continue to see things not working, or getting fixed what they wanted to see, now they are saying, we waited this long for what...
It's only about having the ability to do this, and if you do, you should realize, that people will be happy with the little, especially when not waiting as long. No one likes to wait, it's just a great way to see how long you can stretch someone's patience, which is not a good thing to do.
Sure, some of you I can hear it now are mumbling under their breaths, quick updates, longer updates, either way people are going to cry and whine, you're right! But people will cry less when you make them wait less, and make them feel/think that you are constantly on the ball too!
EA, don't complicate the issue in your mind, no one likes to wait, it's just that simple, give updates every 14 days, small updates, and then see the Community reaction, on what they now consider are very active and concerned developers!
EA, people are sitting here, looking at bugs going back anywhere from 6 months to a year that are still not fixed. So at the level you are at, people are not wanting to wait any longer, that is the entire point here, you have already stretched the patience of the gamers far enough, and now is the time, that you do need to start making a Shift in your Development Pattern, if you want to retain the game and a large user-base 1-2 years from now.
It's very easy to see that the User-Base Level has fallen off from where it's at now, simply by seeing how long match times are taking at present.
