EA account merging
Hi, I would just like to ask if there’s any possible way that Persona merging without loosing any data would become a thing in the future. I used to play apex legends on Xbox and I have two years worth of data. All of my data is on an older EA account. I recently switched to ps5 and I started playing apex legends again, but I linked it to a newer EA account. So I have my old Xbox data on one EA account, and now my new PlayStation data on another EA account. I understand linking my psn to the EA account with my Xbox data would make me lose my new data and I also understand that Respawn is working on cross-progression at the moment. I’m just wondering if at one point I’d be able to merge the data from both EA accounts and at least have both my Xbox and PlayStation data on the same account. I personally think it would be easier to merge all the game progress on both Xbox and PlayStation if they were both on the same EA account. I know it’s possible to have the data from two consoles on the same EA account. Thank you for reading.
Hi @Pearlgamer17,
I'm not aware of any such developments or whether it will be possible at a future date for persona transfer to not result in a loss of data. It's quite complex but it would be wonderful if such an outcome could ever become possible.
At the moment though, sadly, it's not an outcome that persona transfers can have. There are inherent risks involved with that process to the degree that there are some transfer restrictions in place making it so that in most cases a persona transfer is not an option to avail of.
Please read this EA Help article for more information on what's involved with these transfers: Information about persona transfers. If, after reading, It sounds like you would like to proceed with it to align up your accounts, please get in contact with our support representatives to review, advise and, if the criteria is met, to perform a persona transfer.
