Earrape intro sound

It's been like this since launch that every time we open the game my ears get * destroyed by this EXTREMELY loud EA/logo intro and it's dumb. We change our sound settings before playing and it's still blasting us at like 50000000000% volume for no reason. Turn down the volume on that or at least make it match with the settings we set for sound. Not a critical error, it's just extremely annoying.

  • Look for the files intro.bik and respawn.bik in your Apex Legends folder (Origin or Steam depending on where you are playing).

Rename the files/their extensions (I used intro.bik1, respawn.bik1 as recommended on Reddit). The game will not find the files and will skip the intro's.

@MrGosukillerWhy on earth would you suggest something soo odd??

    -novid -dev

These will pass the intro video completely do not listen to what that user said to do.

  • Could you please explain how to do this for those less tech savvy?

  • @E9ine_AC can you explain why not to do what the other way? and what does -novid -dev mean? where do i type that?

    thanks expert.
  • @NoLove1337 I'd avoid doing the other stuff because tampering with the files of an already buggy game is really not the best idea. -novid/-dev are the commands you type into your launch options on Steam to skip the loud intro that occurs when you launch the game. To get to the launch options, firstly right click the game in your library and select 'Properties'. In the 'General' tab you'll find a 'Launch options' space where you can type -novid/-dev, and then you simply start the game up.

@NoLove1337They are simple codes you may put in on the launcher that allows you bypass load in screen and noises. There are other codes also that can change the fps to be set at specific numbers and such also.

-novid // disables all the video intros

-forcenovsync // completely disables vertical sync

+cl_showfps 4 // shows FPS in-game (provided by Apex, not Origin)

    +cl_showpos 2 // shows player's coordinates and speed

    +fps_max 0 // sets max FPS count to a monitor's frequency ⚽ or unlimited (0)

-freq 144 // sets this value as a maximum available FPS in the game (enter your monitor's frequency here)

-threads 8 // sets how many CPU cores will the game use

-fullscreen // the game will run in a fullscreen mode (you can change it in-game too)

-dxlevel 95 // the game will use DirectX 9 to reduce the load of the graphic card

-high // the game will run with a high priority, however, it can cause problems with Origin

-preload // the game will preload textures and objects, but it can cause additional lags and freezes

+exec autoexec // will also load the autoexec.cfg file (see below)
