Me being "dumb" would still make me phenomenally smarter than you.
As to your main point, I already explained the justification for aim-assist multiple times. The prognosis is that you just have mediocre aim but want to blame something for your consistently poor performance. I play with several PC players and haven't received a single complaint from them about aim-assist. They have never even brought it up. And I don't know why you using the term "aimbot". "Aimbots" snap the user's sights directly to a target's head and make the bullets streamline directly into it. Aim-assist slowly tracks close to mid-range targets in the middle of the player's screen to provide slightly-easier targeting as compensation for the very-limited input intricacy that a joy-stick allows.
@matzesingt wrote:But every single pc player that plays with controller does it cuz he sucks at aiming or he wants to abuse Aimassist, and thats the truth, there is no other explanation, NOONE on the planet will take all the backdraws of a controller if there were no aimassist
You completely fail to follow your own line of logic here. Aim assist is not a system that can auto-pilot a user's hand-eye coordination. If a user has poor hand-eye coordination, then they might find the use of a joystick to be more accommodating because of the restricted input freedom. That can allow a player with bad hand skills to prevent the impediment of their own gameplay. But aim-assist is not a "crutch" for people to use. If a player is just bad at aiming in any situation, then aim-assist is not going to help them. This is really not that complicated.
Ok i was actually considering not responding to this because i dont wanna sound cocky or anything like this, but you opened that door so we should go through it right?
Lets start at your weird claim that i might have mediocre aim, i can tell you that you are prettty wrong my friend
I used to play for playing ducks in 2011
By now i am 32 years old and rusty but i am still a pretty high Csgo player beeing ranked GE for years
Just some little ranked stats of my mainprofile playing in GE lobbys
Kd: 1.51
Overall kills: 39808 kills
Headshot %: 44%
Awp: 11957 kills
Ak: 6816 kills
M4: 6209 kills
To let it sound more cocky, 44% headshotrate while maining awp. You get the picture right? i click heads with awp cuz i can 🙂
Feel free to leave me a Pm for my steamid and esl profile to verify all i am saying here
Now lets get to the important part:
I will now explain you why i call it an aimBOT, cuz simply thats what it is...
I had several hacks on my pc over the course of my gaminglife to understand what they do and how they work
So let me enlighten you a little on that part:
Basics first right?
There are settings for aimbots and aimassists for example:
Fov <--- selfexplanatory right?
Speed <--- selfexplanatory right?
tolarance <--- allowing for missed shots, overaiming, allows it going for the wrong hitbox and so on (a setting to let it look more legit)
smooth <--- How smooth it moves, basicly makes something look more human
And some more but theese are the most important ones
Now lets get to the what is what part: And ask yourself what apex actually has
Aimassist:
The name pretty much says it, it assists your aim... now here comes the tricky part it does NOTHING without you actually starting to shoot a person, means if you dont shoot its basicly just idling arround. The moment you start shooting someone in the given Fov that you did setup for the aimassist it will start assisting you and "correcting" your aim.
Aimbot:
2 Versions of aimbot are commonly used...The first is what you descriped, it snaps rapidly on peoples head.... Settings for that are a low Tolarance, low smooth, high speed and high fov
Usually people that dont use some ragesetting and that are trying to use it somewhat legit are using an aimkey to make it happen and let it look like a flick.
The second way of using an aimbot,(a little hint, this is the interesting one 😉 )
Instead of using an aimkey, you will toggle the aimbot to be on permanently, but you will have to put the settings the opposite of the snapping settings, means you take high tolarance, high smooth, low speed and low fov...
What that does is simple, the moment something walks into the Fov of your aimbot setting, it will start tracking that target
That beeing said,i can set you up an aimbot that behaives exactly as what apex has
You seeing any difference? well i can tell you,the maindifference is that an aimbot does something before the player actually starts shooting and aimassist does not...
So yes Apex has a soft aimbot with pretty low settings...Why they call it aimassist? simple its sounds less unfair
Btw Imperialhal is also highly against aimassist, does he have mediocre aim aswell?
- 5 years ago@matzesingt I played csgo as well. Mostly encountered spinbotters though lol...PC controller feels more like it lowers the DPI for close range engagements. If you were strafing in a straightline back and forth you would notice a very slight curve instead of a straight line on controller. However it does not snap to targets or move your reticle onto them, and it does not control recoil for you. It seems to slightly orient your body towards them and artificially lowers your sense. Console actually does magnetise your reticle heavily towards enemies, and it is so strong that it will lock onto downed players during a fight and potentially get you killed.
