Evac tower improvement

So evac towers are a great addition to the game in my opinion however, they just feel off. 

As the name suggests the goal is to evacuate a place quickly or rotate. But why would I use an evac tower instead of a normal jump tower that's located nearby? What's the added benefit? Or why wouldn't I just run instead of exposing myself to an instant beam of bullets...

The evac tower works well as a rotation tool when placed far from enemies and way less as an evacuation tool. I'm better off running than putting myself in a position to get beamed from a team while I'm defenseless on it.

I think an improvement to the evac tower would be a bulletproof corridor surrounding the zip-line going up hence adding to the evacuation part of this tool. It wouldn't be overpowered in any way since you can still shoot the tower down but would improve this tool immensely in my opinion.
