@helios0613 Officially, you are guaranteed heirloom shards within 500 apex packs. So I could get shards on my 1st pack or my 23rd or my 400th etc but if I open 499 without one I am guaranteed shards in the next one I open. There is something like a less than 1% chance of getting one each pack and after 500 packs it resets.
Because you stop getting free packs after hitting the level cap, you either have to buy them individually or in bundles, or just wait until you get free ones from events, battle pass, etc which takes much longer. Personally I’ve bought several bundles with packs in them, and have been max level for quite some time but still no heirloom so people who are low level and get them are just lucky.
As for the other person you are discussing, it is impossible to get 4 heirlooms in 2 days without spending a stupid amount of money I.e buying 500 packs multiple times. Even if they started with one that they got lucky with in their free packs, they still have 3 more after that which is somewhere in the range of $450-$500 EACH considering price of apex coins.
