Feedback from a new Player

I am pretty new to Apex. 10 days ago i started to play this Game together with 2 Friends. We always Play together just for fun, Games that are crossplay. I play on Xbox, my friends on a Switch Lite.

I have to say Apex ist damm  frustrating. In Trio we get matched with like lvl 500 Players with 10k Kills while we are around lvl 40-50 with maybe 10-20kills each. We only have to look in the Direction of a Player and we are dead within 1second....It almost feels like people are aimbotting.

We did ok in Arena wich is actually the better Mode for us, we did get equal less experienced Enemys most of the time, but the last 2 days its the same crap matchmaking with like high lvl Enemys.

So what i want to say...we will probaply walk away from this Game soon, the Matchmaking is just too frustrating and not Fun for new Players trying to learn the Game...

  • @Inaktus Honestly games will always try to match the team size across the game. If the only remaining trios are higher level, at least it's trio v trio - just a common thing in pvp gaming. However, the game's SBMM is kind of terrible at times. If you average a kill or two per game, you'll likely just get pushed up the matchmaking "skill" list until you're in a game where everyone is a high enough level to mag you. Then, you're in those games until you've averaged a low enough skill that you start at the top of the circle back at the lower skill pool. I enjoy the game even though I'm between average and above average on skill level, but it does get frustrating when I rank (in platinum) and get dunked on in a pro player/streamer lobby

@Palette24carats playing ranked doesn't really help if you are low skilled and playing solo I get popped into peoples' squads that are way higher rankee
